Last year E4 messed up most of the coverage by giving us snippets of conversations while cutting out random 'obscene' audio from the live broadcast. Maybe now with interactive digitial services we could turn this on and off???? because frankly it's not worth watching E4 at all. This year the sound cutouts seem to be even worse!, maybe they think kids today dont swear?. Well maybe they should go down to their local playground and listen to the foul mouthed youths of today.

I think your missing the point, they ane LEGALLY not allowed to let swearing be heard during the day, although they let a lot slip today, and will probebly be in trouble for it. In the evening they cut it if the housemates start slagging off products (because the companies involved could sue).
They also cut it if they start talking about the channel 4 staff (persumerbly to stop the tabloids hunting them down and othering then cash for answers). There are other reasons but its all legal matters and you are not missing out on much.

Yer but saying that on saturday nite BB on C4 said we wil return in a moment due to legal reasons. Went downstairs onto E4 BB interactive Feed B and there they were taling about club 18-30 holidays then it switched to the main E4 feed.
I dont see why they should cut out the audio it always seems to get intresting! There should be some sort of parental contols and a password i think to for peple to decide what they want to do.

i think that the housemates should be held responsible for anything that they say whilst in the house, they should be warned of this before entering this way c4 would hold no responsibility for anything thats said and would be able to air a show that isnt censored every few minutes

The problem is that whoever is cutting out the sound is deaf or not being paid very well for the job he/she is doing. I remember last year having the net feed downstairs being streamed live while watching E4 and when they cut the audio on E4 I could hear the 'unedited version' from tbe internet stream. On most occasions there was no swearing whatsoever!, and nothing slanderous towards people/companies. I personally think E4 deliberatly do it so people signup for the 9.99 web service, one more step to the death of BB4 imho.
Surely they can sign in the contract the contestants presumably have with C4 they are liable for what they say about things.

I dont think legally that would be allowed either, The housemates effectivley work for channel 4, there for channel 4 is responsible for them.
