What happens on Friday if.....

Votes are equal?

Persumerbly the 10 housemates not up for nomination will vote on who they want out. So what happens if its 5 votes a piece?

Also is it possible for more than 2 contestants to be up for eviction this Friday?

I wouldn't be surprised if C4 used the viewer voting percentages as the casting vote.

wat about the people who are up for eviction do they get to vote?

cause peresumably they will hav to vothe for the other unles they give the house mates a choice of three. meaning that nominated housemates will have a choice of two.

why didnt davina tell us more

I remeber reading somewhere - 3 minutes before they have to make there decision. Can't remember where I read it though.

They will probably be told to go into bedroom 1 then called one by one to teh diary room and told what they have to do, given a few secods then they have to answer.

thenthey will have to go on in to bedroom two, so that the other contestants dont get to know b4.

OR!

THey will b told some time on friday who is up for eviction and that they have to chose. then they will be called to the diary room to give their decision.

i think it'll be like last time, and they'll be able to see the diary room on the big screen... then everyone one will know who everyone voted for... THEN it will be interesting

Don't think that was for the evictions was it? Are you thinking of the memory task, were they had to go into the diary room and answer questions about other housemates?? It would create allot of tension but is a big part of BB not the fact that eviction nomintions have to be kept secret.

but i thought the whole point of this years big brother was to be different...

I dunno how they are going to do it, cos it would be pointless for the people nominated to vote for the other person.

plus having 3 mins to decide is good, but if they do it individually, that'll take 30 mins...

I cant see that each of them will vote in front of everyone. I;m hoping Lee or Sandy will be out! The Boring ones!

i dont see why they wud bother to keep the nominations secret, becuase a) they want to create tension in the house and b) each time some1 gets evicted they get to see the nominations on the show with davina anyways. plus you can guarantee someone they know will have it taped the nominations for them.

i cant wait tho - it will be interesting.

well done channel 4 for making this friday so anticipated... those people who thought the waiting was over when BB started were wrong... now they have us waiting to see what new stuff they got in store... only 5 days in and already we have the new style eviction and the heaven and hell idea!

Obviously they will find out who voted out/nominated who, but the point is they are not allowed to discuss or find out who voted who while they are in there.

Guys there are 12 housemates this year, just a reminder.

yeah, but any mention of 10 housemates in this thread is assuming the 2 nominated contestants won't be able to vote because its pointless.

Yep keeping everything so secret hurts the show, i really dont know why C4 do that. Dont you guys remeber how good it was listening in on Nick and Andy plotting the downfall of all the house mates.

On another note im thinking Channel 4 may keep this format where the public can pick out of all house mates each week to put up for nomination. Then the house mates have to vote on of the 2 nominated live on Friday.

When they are voting in the DR then everyone outside should be allowed to watch on the plasma screen.

But what if they aren't told who has been nominated? I'm betting they won't be, as it could kind of skew the subsequent nominations e.g. anyone feeling under threat may vote for the one they know is not popular with the public.

I think there is more stress if they don't know who is popular/unpopular.

Yep no one will know until the first show on Friday, then after hearing which 2 are up for nomination the chosen two get to plead their case for why they should be kept in the house. Then one by one the others will go in and vote one of them out.
LateBreaker

Ooh, I like the idea of them having to plead their case! But what I actually meant was that they are not told who has been nominated by the public at all – only that two housemates have been. The housemates then vote (for anyone in the house) and of the two nominated by the public, the one who got the most housemates votes is out. If it’s a tie the one who was least popular with the public is evicted.

This way, even after Friday the remaining housemates don’t know who is unpopular with the public.

Hmm then the public would have very little affect in most cases. I think giving the public the choice of voting for any house mates each week will increase phone revenue and we all know how C4 likes to milk BB for all its worth. On the upside it may create tension if they decide to show who is voting for who to everyone in the house. People may only feel like voting out someone they dislike so they have a chance every week to put someone up for eviction. I think they should keep secret how much % of the calls each person received so that it doesnt turn into a popularity chart.

i like the idea and i understand what you are saying... i think it would be quite cool too, however what if none of the housemates vote for either of the 2 the public have put up for eviction?? in that case it would probably be which ever housemate has been voted for the most by the viewers, but then the housemates dont really need to vote at all do they.

as an interesting idea i think it should be entirely up to the public to vote someone off.....

FWIW I think they will work it by telling the housemates which two of them are up for eviction and then the housemates will vote for which one of them they want to leave.

having sed that - why does everyone assume there will only be 2 up for eviction? has there been any official conformation that only 2 will be singled out - i would of thought there would probably be more 2 - but I guess we will see soon enough!
