Well Britvic say they make it...and they should know

Quote:
“Tango

The Beecham Group introduced Tango in 1958, but the brand only reached its present status after Britvic bought it in 1986. Since then Tango has challenged traditional soft drink rules with world-class advertising and ground breaking packaging and promotions.

Tango is a great tasting soft drink - taste balanced with refreshment. Aimed at tweens and youth aged 10 to 24 years.

Why not visit www.tango.tv for more information on this exciting brand.

In 2003 Tango underwent the biggest changes in over a decade. Radical enhancements included - colourful new packaging, a refreshed range with a new flavour, significant promotional and distribution driving activity and increased investment in the brand.

Tango Clear, a unique flavoured carbonated drink with no added sugar, was launched in 2005 and is available in two refreshing flavour combinations: Apple & Watermelon and Lemon & Kiwi.

New range: Fruit Fling, Orange (inc.diet), Cherry and Apple.”

No they are different, I like cherryade, but don't like Cherry Tango. My favourite though is Cherry Coke. I know I'm anal

Maybe they already have had their advertising done for free then - I can't see beyond a handful of people trying it out of curiosity due to it being mentioned on BB. I also can't see by having Makosi associated with it after she gets out as having a big impact on the soft drinks market to be honest - especially as she already been sacked from one job and is broadly known as a compulsive liar. Would anyone want a compulsive liar to be the face of their product?

cherryade isn't the same as cherry tango. cherry tango is nicer!

Makosi's constant referring to Cherry Tango certainly appears to be a cynical ploy to land a lucrative ad deal once she's out of the house.

Got a very valid point but she certainly has brought it to the front of people's minds. There probably has been initial increased sales of the stuff as you say "out of curiosity". I hope she got a backhander for advertising it before she went in because she probably won't get anything now.

Yes, they do make Cheery Tango as a limited edition - on sale in certain areas.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER!!

spill Cherryade on ANYTHING!!

god knows what dye number manufacturers use to get that delightful "pinky red" colour, but blimming heck, if you spill it on anything, no matter what detergent, Oxy wash, Oxy action thingy that you use, it won't come out!!

which makes me think.......

if it can stain carpets, fabrics and a plastic drinks cup BRIGHT RED, what on Earth is it doing to children's (and Makosi's ) stomach linings??!!

Sorry I didn't mean it like that. I meant that technically Cherry Tango is Cherryade, as is Orange Tango orangeade. They may tase different, but then again so do alot of different branded lemonades.

If I'm making sense that is

Yeah true, but say for example, that when Saddam Hussein was pictured in his underpants, they had a CK label on - I don't think people would have rushed out to buy Calvin Klein pants 'as worn by Saddam'. I think there's a kind of 'reverse-advertising' effect in there somewhere. Same way the cherry tango campaign wouldn't be something like 'as drunk by that two-faced, egotistical, lying, scheming bitch from BB'

Yet...they seemingly ban advertising and product placement (I notice the Puma logo on Science's track suit is covered) but they blatantly mention stores and price in the Make Me A housemate on BBLB....also there is a page on the C4 site that tells you where you can buy almost all the fittings of the BB house.

Double standards if you ask me...

Come to mention it, Orlaith, Vanessa and Makosi were discussing 8 hour cream (Elizabeth Arden I think) yesterday just before the nominations were announced and the sound wasn't dipped. Vanessa said that she thought it was great and that it was one of BB staff who had recommended the stuff when she was going to her auditions. They were also discussing other products too but I wasn't paying too much attention to it at the time.
