The Jonny and Alison Show
Emzi
27-05-2002
Not that I'm a betting gal (ok - I am) but my money is on either Jonny or Alison to win.

Reasons? I honestly don't think either of them have an agenda but both have bags of personality and great humour. 'Longevity though Laughs and Likeability' is the key to winning Big Brother and although we're still in week one - I'm sure these two will go all the way to the final week.

As for the first 6 to go? There are two categories for removal: the USOs (Unbelieveably Self-Obsessed) and the SBDs (Sweet But Dull)

Lee (USO)
PJ (SBD)
Lynne (SBD)
Kate (USO)
Alex (SBD/USO)
Sunita (SBD/USO)

Get down to Ladbrokes now!

(P.S - no I don't think Jade should go - the BB house needs a Sarrrf London, hyperactive blonde shoplifter with big boobs! At least she's bloody cheerful!!)

I agree, i can see a repeat of the Craig and Anna embrace as the winner is announced.

It's funny that you are suggesting Alison & Jonny as the one's likely to win, because they are the one's getting slagged off by Jade and Adele in the pool tonight.

Alison yes... she is good fun and wouldn't knowingly upset anyone. The Jonny Show has to come to an end soon - no bets on him to stay that long... at least hoping not! Too in yer face and seems to be into everything.

It's kinda traditional that the 'middle-grounders' slag off the eventual (final week) winners - because they realise that they aren't going to win early on and try to form a bit of comradeship anywhere they can within the house and then generate feelings of dislike and distrust towards the most honest and likeable.

The interesting thing about Jonny to me is that he has an idea how to win the show. I would go as far to say he "gets on" with people he doesn't particularly like and is always around to converse with. Just some interesting stuff i've heard from him like imagine how crazy it will be when we get out of the house, people will be recognising us every place we are kinda thing. If Adele and Jade are smart they will see them two as a threat to win and people should nominate them. Shame they cant discuss nominations and nominations and evictions cant be decided in house. Now thats how you would get fireworks!

Maybe I'm just bias - seeing Jonny make a roast chicken out of a bath towel (see tomorrow night's C4 show!) and explaining his childhood christmas catastrophies - also Alison falling off her sunlounger with amazing dignity - surely one of these two have to win!

Oh dont get me wrong i like Jonny and think he is funny but i hope its not forced comedic value he is providing. I think i posted on another forum on my lowdown of contestants very early on that Jonny "will play to the viewers". Seems thats what he doing right now.

Oh and i remember first seeing the chicken towel trick done by someone 10 years ago.

Getting the mix of 'playing to camera and being entertaining while maintaining true personality and dignity' is essential and it's something that so hard to do. Craig and Anna from BB1, Helen and Brian from BB2 managed it - I think Alison and Jonny can too

But still vaguely amusing if you've never seen it done - yes?!

Anyways - how can you ever slag off a fireman?! They do a horrible job for public service pay (Action: emzi stops herself from make cheap 'Jonny's Hose!' jokes) .

I think the careers of the BB3 housemates say a lot about their personalities - agree?!

Could you tell me what they actually said? I was watching a different feed at the time.

They were basically just saying how annoying she was, being "too much", said similar about Jonny but got interupted as the rest of the housemates came out.

i thought they were discussing sunita, not alison, as adele mentioned the drugs argument.
mromega
28-05-2002
Nope, I thought it was Sunita they were talking about at first, but then they said that they both respected Sunita (about the drugs argument) because she was saying what she really felt. While Alison has been really chummy but they think is being a bit two faced.

ah, that makes more sense... I only caught the end of the conversation.

Thought: great, some bitching, but Lee showed up
i was shocked as them when he said hello!

At these early stages I want Jonny to win, mainly because I have money on him, but also becuase he is my favourite housemate.

But I think the strong freindship between Jonny & Allison may work against them and towards the middle weeks of the show others will feel threatened by them and I beleive we may start to see some nominations, but I think the public will keep them in.

Come on Jonny my son £140 if you do it for me!

Interesting that a few of the housemates have begun to cut loose and say what they really think about the housemates; Sandy to Lynne and Sunita about the more boisterous ones, Jade to Adele about Alison, and Jade to Lee, Sandy and Alex about Alison again too.

emizi, that line wasn't a dig, i forgot to add a to the end when editing, look forward to seeing the others reactions.

This is really interesting how there is starting to be a divide between certain groups. There is a way to accelerate this kind of divide among the house and start the fireworks but im not the producer.

Which two do you guys think Jade would nominate for eviction?
mromega
28-05-2002
Jade at the moment would probably nominate Jonny and Alison, judging by what she has said in the house. Of course it's impossible to read her mind.
Jason C
28-05-2002
Alison, almost certainly.

I have a feeling she'd also choose either Sandy or Lynne too.

But in an ideal situation, she wouldn't get a chance to register her nominations at all, as she would be evicted first; she's certainly got my vote, as I've just observed her with Lee and Spencer clearly trying to shit-stir.

The schemer MUST go.
Coljj
28-05-2002
Interesting you should mention scheming. So lets just say Jade somehow gets to be head of household by winning the weekly HoH competition which all housemates compete for. Among her responsibilities as HoH would be to coordinate challenges for the group and convey information from BB that they needed to get across to the housemates. The perks? Well she would get the key to a third private HoH bedroom which only she has the key to for that week and would eat well regardless of what happens in the 'food' challenge.

Oh and one small other responsibility, it would be down to her to who is up for eviction. She would nominate face to face with everyone around the table and would give her reasons for choosing the two that she has. Things start to get very personal after this

I can't say that I knew that a HoH competition was gonna be taking place, unless you mean that as a theoretical example.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I do think that she's deliberately trying to cause rifts and plant ideas into the housemates heads so they'll turn against each other and she'll get off scot free.

Time will tell.
Coljj
28-05-2002
Nope Jason C, that was just theoretical.

Also do you really think Jade is smart enough to stir shit up in a sneaky way? Im guessing one of the clinching factors in her being chosen for BB3 was her probable appalling IQ test results.

Ah, my mistake; a evening's worth of typing have depleted the concentration levels somewhat.

That's a reasonable point; perhaps she hasn't realised the destabilising effect of her comments and just thinks everyone's gonna take what she says purely at face value.

It's a devious game to play nevertheless.

No, stupid people know how to shit-stir with the best of them, they're just to stupid to know when to stop...

If Jade doesn't go this week, she'll end up being hated by everyone but a few people in the house
