"Shake it Off" will be the third single lifted from resuscitated diva Mariah Carey's current album "The Emancipation of Mimi", it has been confirmed. Carey is due to be recording the new music video for the single, which is already impacting American radio, in the coming days. It is also reported that the video for her album's fourth single - rumoured to be "Say Somethin'" will be recorded directly after "Shake it Off" raps on set. This technique was also applied for her first two singles' video's from the new album. Urban remixes are already lined up, and long-term club remix partner David Morales (who has remixed singles from every Carey album since "Music Box") has already completed his dance remix of the track.

The pop diva has seen a sudden and unexpcted turn in fortunes with this album, which has restored both her popularity with the public and music critics alike, who have hailed "Emancipation" as a spectacular return to vocal form. Both singes so far "It's Like That" and "We Belong Together" reached the top of the US Billboard Charts, and thanks to a stand out performance from the Live 8 concert, "We Belong Together" charted at #2 here in the UK last week - her biggest hit in the UK in years. "The Emancipation of Mimi" has sold 3 million copies in the US alone.

I love Mariah. I'm so glad everything is going well for her.

Shake It Off was my instant fave off the album. I've had it as a ringtone for months.....Just like Em's Ass Like That which has also just been released..

Actually, I wrote it myself. I love to write in this style! I had a spare moment so I thought I would try and make it look a little pro There are probably some sentance structuring mistakes in there, though.

So yeah, not a cut and paste jobby, wrote it from scratch with the facts I've picked up from various sites. Everything in the article is 100% true and confirmed though.

MaxCherry, I like her too. I think she's probably the finest female vocalist from the 90's and certainly she's the best of the current crop of "pop diva's". She's also very entertaining in interview situations and I do find her very funny indeed. I've grown to like her since discovering the many excellent club and house remixes of her material produced by David Morales. I've got a few of her album tracks from "Emancipation" through iTunes and I very much like "Shake it Off" and also there's a TIGHT ballad called "Fly Like A Bird" which is truly excellent.
