As a female I have seriously tried to reserve judgment on the the female HMS. Hoping that there would be a woman there I could identify or empathise with on some level, at some time.

Unfortunately, despite my best efforts I've failed!

Tonight on the highlights when Marcus announced, 'Makosi, Vanessa and Orlaith are in the living room', I audibly sighed and thought, 'Oh no! not more!'.

Having noticed the opinion of FMs regarding female reaction to female HMS, I wanted to prove you wrong, but I don't believe it is a simple as you surmise on your posts.

I know I will stand to be corrected, (continuously) and I'm ready.

I guess my life has been filled with women who are true to scientific stereotypes (not girly, girly, but pretty much use the right side of the brain). I know this is not all women, but through life experience, a lot of this research is very true of most women I have met. And I do have a lot of life experience!

Intuition, inatel understanding of a situation, empathy, desire to create equality (being fully aware of incompatible differences, narturally) and creating a better more understanding universe for our children, male and female.

I think that, the jealousy tag is not an issue with most, I believe it is watching women who we believe have the same understandings, behaving in a way, that totally defuncts women and forgets our instinctive role in life. Mothers and nurturers.

I am not a Womens Libber, or a Man Hater. I love men and have two wonderful men in my life. I believe that what is happening is women reacting to their natural instincts (not in all cases), without them possibly realising.

You should have thought about this before you voted out Sam.

I don't mean you personally, but all women as a race.

small_G please reply.

1man, I never voted Sam out, personally, didn't much care for her, but would never have voted her out.

Agree with you, and I would love to believe that there is more to the women they cast this year than wannabees. If this is a reflection of the future partners of our Sons and Daughters, help us!

Just to get to grips with this debate, could someone tell what a female HM this year has done worse than a male HM?

As personally it looks to me that the majority expect more from female HMs, whilst at the same time are more tolerant and forgiven of male HMs errors.

Many thanks.

Thank you small_G! I think society has turned us into 'this is how I should be', male and female. Which is why I admire someone like Science ( a little more tolerance from the man! but he's young). Be true to who you are, but we are all too scared in case we look foolish.

I hate to say this, possibly because of years of oppression, some women find it easier to conform to their surroundings than be themselves.

OOh! I'm gonna be slaughtered!

Sam was very pretty, personally I hated that stupid laugh that was switched on and off at will. Very forced. Airhead
Makosi bitches, clever - or mad? - woman but bitches with other women about other women. Oh and lies.
Vanessa bitches and is a sloth, nothing of interest.
Orlaith seems to be very aware of the cameras and using them to ensure her Playboy dream - although by then there will be nothing left to see.
Saskia was a lazy gold-digger.
Lesley actually made me laugh a few times, not always intentionally. I always felt it unfair that she was made to be the bully when Sam was as bad.
Mary, she was good, like most of my friends...eek!

None of these women were picked for their brains, 2 unfeasibly large pairs of breasts and 2 pairs of silicone between them. No I am not equating breast - brain size (or I would be very thick!), but its a shame that with the expection of Makosi there isn't a personality in there. It seems that they were picked for how they looked on camera and then threw in Mary as the 'weird' one.

Sorry I feel better for that rant now.

What my argument was, probably not totally coherent, was, women being the beings they are, expect more from other women.

Be that fair?!! I believe that is how women think and feel, that another woman (with exceptions) is usually on the same wavelength.

They usually are, when you engage one on one, without exception.

But this is a game show different rules apply.

btw, do notice I am not including every woman in this debate.

There are very few occasions in life, when you can use a sweeping statement like 'all females'. Too many people on this forum use generalisation statements like that, such as 'all the females always get kicked off first'. Thats not true, some women do, but sometimes, so do guys.

I dont know why some forum members want to stereotype BB women, but for some reason, they want to.

My argument is not about brains. But I am sure that if I spoke to all the women above, most of us would find a common thread!

And, I believe most of the men on this forum would understand it's a woman thang!

I think the producers chose most of these women AS stereotypes to appeal to some male viewers, fat, thin etc, there will be one in there you are attracted to. Old HM's, Anna, Alison, Nush, Shell, and a couple I can't remember the names of DID appeal to women and were entertaining. Its about whether you could consider these people as your friends and whether you could leave them alone with your boyfriend. Trust, womens intuition, whatever you want to call it.

BTW I'm only having a rant!

I would trust anybody with my boyfriend, down to him how he behaves and deals with the consequences.

True, daft thing to say. I just remember a question asked ages ago where you had to decide who would you leave alone in a room with your boyfriend. Not that the bf would but the other girl would be straight onto them. Think it was Jordan and Jodie Marsh and nobody said Jodie...

small_G I would never generalise, I only speak from my own experience.

I also hate a sentence that begins with 'All men are......'

Women are not a race. They are part of the human race.

I was thinking more of another thread, which was along the lines of 'all women do this, all women do that' etc.

bettycat, my bf would not be interested in either of them on a purely intellectual level, if one was to generalise., being a man.....I'm sure he'd have em both!
