I think it is a side effect of a drug I was taking for a stomach bug. It started off as sore throat and I haven't been able to speak for 24 hours which is quite hard for someone who was nicknamed "chatterbox" in school .
I have made an appointment with my GP, I just need something to tide me over till my appointment.

O/T The police have raided a house about 1/2 mile from me in connection with the London bombings. Goes to show you never know who your neighbours really are.

try some honey, lemon & fresh ginger if you've got any - should work (put a bit of whiskey in if you can stomach it at this time of the day)

Sounds horrible, but gargling with soluble aspirin (and it has to be aspirin) really helped me when I had glandular fever

Difflam Oral Rinse mouthwash (Benzydamine hydrochloride), available over-the-counter. Very strong antiinflammatory, dulls anything in the mouth ). But do mention the other medication you are on.

Good morning to everyone.

Apart from food ordering, one of my favourite events, is there anything remotely interesting coming up today.

No, no-one else has got a watch and we dont know why Derek has got one but we think its something to do with his daily pill-taking.

Morning all.
Ive just got back from watching an infant school sports day, no wonder the British arnt any good at sports, they werent allowed to compete????? What is the point in a sports day with no competing?

Hope everyone else is having a good day.
I wonder if BB will re-start the HMs brains going today, leading up to tomorrows lies?
