The third series of Scrictly Come Dancing has finally been confirmed by the BBC, today.

The third series will return in the autumn of this year and will be the longest series yet, with two more couples than the second series bringing the total number of couples to 12.

The celebrities, taking part in the rating-hit Saturday night ballroom dance show, are yet to be announce, so too, are the judges (but hopeful the judges are the same as the other two series)

I heard from my cousin that Rachel Hunter is going to be in this series.

Nope, sorry that's not true! For the main reason that she has already done it, however, in the American version 'Dancing with the Stars'.

Phew, that was a close one there - I was worried that we would be losing Claudia from ITT!!! Good job we aren't - she is so funny and it wouldn't be the same without her.

Oh my God NOOOO! Claudia is way better than he was! She is much funnier and interacts better with the celebrities and their dance partners. I loved her on ITT and I couldn't stand JLC on SCD on 3... I used to want to shut him up!

I really hope they keep the same judges! It wouldn't be the same without them. Craig is great - he's so brutally honest! And Arlene's a bit of a bitch but we love her for it. Then there's lovely Len and sweet little Bruno... I love them all.

JLC is SO much better than Claudia. He was excellent on SCD on BBC3. The shows were much more fun than ITT. He had names for all the dancers and celebs, who could forget- Anton Du Beke not CBE!!!

And JLC even took to the dancefloor himself. Bring him back now!

yeah i totally agree. i used to really dislike craig, but ever since he was on celebrity fame academy, my feelings towards him have changed quite drastically, shall we say!! i cant wait for SCD to start!!

I agree. Fame Academy did that to me too! Especially the drunken karaoke bit!! I Will Survive sung buy Craig was a classic!!

But don't forget that Craig was sitting next to Lesley on FA! Her niceness probably rubbed off on him!!

This is one of my favourite reality shows....as they have to work hard to win.

And yes..Claudia is fab....I hope nothing changes from the original format! If it ain't broke..don't fix it.

it wouldn't be the some if craig revel horwood was not ON S.C.D it would be just like X FACTOR & AMERICAN IDOL not having Simon Cowell on it where they are both very honest & entertaining

Well said! Strictly Come Dancing has so many people hooked because of its genuine entertainment value for all the family - quite a rare thing these days

Speaking of which isn't it autumn now? When will it be on our screens does anybody know?

Middle of October I think it starts. Possibly 15th as that is a saturday!

They will be doing the photos in a couple of weeks so will probably here soon who is with who!
