Did this not happen though also in the last two BB's that someone had doubts in the first few days ?

I remember Anna was seriously thinking about leaving in BB1.

Sunita's speaking about it now - she said that perhaps she didn't think about it going into the house enough, and was perhaps a little complacent having watched it.

but they must ALL be vain to think that they were so great as to stand a chance of winning a show like BB! Are these 'normal ppl'? Jade, Lynne, Lee for starters imagining themselves at the winning stage? Oh, please! Even intelligent Sunita - really, what was she thinking? These guys really have put themselves in the public eye in such a massive way - they are game for anything that follows... and a lot of it will not be nice. Ruined lives? Probably. Lynne has openly said that she wants to make money from her exposure on BB, she is sick of being skint. HOW? Chances are she will simply not get work after this. A singing career? No way! How does Sunita think her barrister carrer will do after this? Or has she got another career in mind in media or something? Frankly, I don't see a media career for anyone in this group so far.

I can't help feeling for Sunita. It must feel dreadful to be trapped in a situation where you don't feel comfortable 24/7. It's all very well saying that someone should throw themselves into it all, but as she said herself, the 'pantomime' stuff, doesn't seem to come easily. (Who can blame her?). Maybe amongst her own friends she could relax and behave like this, but it's not a crime not to connect with a bunch of strangers. I think she got along well with Spencer when he was being miserable, but now he's been assimilated into the rest and is in pursuit of Kate/Adele, Sunita's gone by the wayside. I think she should go - for her own sake. That wouldn't make her a quitter; it would show that she's too different to get on with someone like Lee, which is perfectly understandable!

.........and therefore all the more reason not to have succumbed to the vanity or greed that lead her to auditioning to go into the house. How naive to think it could be anything other than whats she's discovered - didn't she watch the previous 2 series?!

On a more compassionate note I hope if she does go she gets some counselling or whatever as the publicity etc may well impact on her life and family more than she thought.

i dont feel sorry for anyone in the bb house. As Lee said:

If she wants to go after 4 days, she's an idiot. Everyone knows what to expect from going into the house, if she doesnt like it now, surely she wouldnt have liked it when she saw it last year?

And as someone said earlier, they dont just pick anyone, so she must have had a good audition, be full of herself enough to get on, and not be the boring cow she is now.

You can't blame sunita for the way she feels as no one knows how it will feel when they actually go in the house. Just because you seen the previous BB's doesn't mean it will be the same. Also the type of people in this big brother are different. I honestly can't see Sunita getting on with anyone in the house. But if she was in the previous BB's i could see her geting on with some of the people. Also the fact that there are so many people in the house, and none of them have tried to try and get close to Sunita. While sunita and adele were cooking Sunita was trying to make a converstion with her but she didn't show any positive response. Also i think that Sunita is very mature and she doesn't like doing immature things which other members are willing to do eg she wouldn't hide in the cupboard when they were playing hide and seek. I think she should leave if she is struggling otherwise it could seriously affect her, i don't think she will get to much negative press as people will feel sorry for her.

She said she wasn't sure it was the "right thing" for her when she accepted. She should have let someone else take her place, someone who would have enjoyed the experience more.

I don't have anything against her -- she seems intelligent -- but I'd be happy to see her go and one of the reserves come in. It would shake things up a bit.

No one wants to get close to sunita cos she never partakes in any games or juicy conversations, and now says she wants to leave... a real team player huh? Even sandy has got more involved i reckon!

Get her out, get someone decent in.

Jay007 is right to say you don't know what it will be like until you enter ... and I agree that Sunita would have done better last year for example. Even though they weren't popular out of the house, the likes of Elizabeth and Dean would have been better company for her, and even Brian would have been kinder I think than current inmates.

Bear in mind, even though she is not compatible with the house, C4 must have realised this was a likely scenario; they go through enough psychology checks before entering the house. Of course nothing's infallible, but I bet C4 is enjoying this bit of the experiment - gets lots of publicity! it won't do them any good to have her seen as too positive though, because if she DOES go, and evokes sympathy, it may look bad.

if you watch the group when Sunita's about, they barely look at her. The girls are worst, esp. Adele and Kate. Weirdly, no-one's broken into bitching about her; she's simply not game ... must be giving off a really sad vibe. It looks like she's going to brave it out now anyway ... for the meanwhile.

Just cos dean and elizabeth are classed as 'boring', they still got involved with a lot of house games and stuff. Sunita just sits their with a moody face on her. She's not even trying, so why should the other housemates bother?

a little bit off topic, but this years contestents are much less sensible then the past 2 years. Sandy is the only one i think resembles the type of people we had last year. They should of had a couple more mature contestents in the house to provide some stability.

While i agree with you, a lot of people on this board are in the opinion that sensible, intelligent people make for less interesting viewing.

For some people, adults behaving like children, slagging people off, throwing punches, or having sex is all they want

For this reason, i dont think sandy has a chance of winning any more. At least spencer has started to get more involved, now he cant be voted off for being boring.

Also Sunita seems a bit happier today... from what I've read she told Kate and Adele last night, Adele discussed it with Sandy. Spencer and Lee also know. I guess today will see whether she can stay or go.

As you may remeber, in both BB1 & 2, there was talk of someone leaving. It will often happen early on in a program's series because that can be one of the most testing times when adapting to a new situation.

However, I don't think she will go.

It could work in her favour. If the housemates are not allowed to vote others off with weak excuses then no-one will say ...well I'm voting Sunita because she is sad and wants to go home.

It is not possible to know what it will be like living in a tv studio with a load of strangers just from watching it on tv a year before. Her best bet is to turn the strangers into friends and confidantes then she will relax. She doesnt have to be like them she just has to interact a bit more. Spencer was finding it a bit daunting at first but has broken down the first barrier by becoming more involved.

Totally agree Craig, but with 12 contestents you can have wild characters and atleast 2 sensible ones. I also think Sandy should try and comfort Sunita as i think he is a great guy and he could cheer her by telling the group to make sunita feel more comfortable.

Here is a statement I had posted elsewhere. It may put some of you in the picture:

The producers of the show want these, otherwise sprightly personalities, to become what is called "depersonalized" and then see what rises from the ashes.

Unfortunately, these include bouts of boredom, depression, agitation and conflict. Nobody will really admit that this is the case but I guarantee that anyone who is put into this predicament will eventually end up boring.

Josh from BB2 was the perfect example of this. He teased us by promising to be 'laugh a minute' and ended up boring. Josh very quickly realised that his resources were not infinite and how shallow he really was(no offence meant Josh).

Most of the current BB contestants don't even realise this simple fact and that is why the personalities that they showed on the audition tapes finally dissolve.

And yes, you can know that it will be like that before you go in the house but to re-iterate -most don't and that's where it gets really interesting! Or boring - depends on how you look at it... Fireworks!

Sorry, everyone if I repeated what you have said. My perusal of your comments was not as it should have been!

Just to talk about the matter rather than ask for evidence..

Sunita looks isolated and probably feels isolated. Everyone in the house has someone they can turn to if they need to talk and as of yet she don’t and she told big Brother this yesterday/day before. (Sorry sense of day had gone)

Big Brother has obviously tried to persuade her to stay and talk about her feelings with the other members of the house; she has talked to a couple of them who have asked her to stay though in my opinion this wont be enough. She admitted having doubts about coming into the house before and if she don’t walk this week it, she will walk as I cannot see her sticking it out for much longer. – Hope I’m wrong.

Though this might not matter if she is up for nomination this week and the housemates then choose who goes. Will they choose her knowing that she wants to go?

I wonder whether the 'need a good reason for nomination' rule will stand this week, or whether they can just say I prefer A as they can only vote for the two..

If the good reason stands, I don't see that they'd vote Sunita out.. but I guess it depends who she'd be up against.

The Channel 4 website has a pretty large sample of people, Sunita is 8th, Lynne and Jade bring up the rear.. I wouldn't be surprised if that is reflected in the nominations, and if it is Lynne will go.

How long Sunita will stay or? Who knows... she seems a bit happier today, but she's still not joining in as much. I think Sunita needed PJ to talk to... at least they have an interest in common (law)...

I know a lot of people will have logged their votes as soon as Friday but if its up to the editors to portray Sunita in such a light so that viwers start picking up the phone to nominate her. Then the house mates will be able to put her out of her misery.

i agree with Santo that Sunita still needs someone to talk to - opening up a little to Adele and kate is not enough. To get along she needs to be part of a more sedate, 'older' style group, but that isn't forthcoming, because Lynne is a self-absorbed div, only interested in singing with the girlies all the time, and Sandy isn't empathetic enough.

I was surprised she spoke to Kate and Adele actually; figured it would be Alison and Johnny. I still think it's Spencer she would want to be friends with most, as the most similar character, but he's moved on.

It's a tough one because her unhappiness must surely be good news for her fellow contestants; as it increases chances of her leaving/eviction. One down, less competition! She must know this... no wonder she's so stressed. Hopefully she can just relax and click with s/one.
