Science can not win Big Brother all he does is shout @ peolple all day in a bad tone. or spends the rest of the time complaing. He must be a nightmare to live with. As Ant said last night the he speaks to some people to get his point across is not right.

In my opinion definitely the least likeable housemate, and the one I most wouldnt want to live with. He appears to have no social skills. I would suggest the bulk of his support comes from people having a desire to be polictically correct ie support a black northerner who claims to be from the 'ghetto'!! It makes people feel good about themselves.

I dont like him either, but along with Derek, Craig and Ant I feel he is at least basically being true to his own moral code and being reasonably honest. I dont think Science will win, but there are worse people than him in the house

I love this thread. I agree with its placement against
all the other anti threads that propagate hate and disgust.
This is quite old fashioned in a sense, just a quick 'Science
is loud' opening campaign statement and on with the day.
Of course, I love Science, but even I can agree with the point
that he can be loud, but he can also be quiet, tip toeing through
a heart left battered and bleeding from the dynamics of the house.

His tone can be gruff, acerbic, but when he is, he also has
a smile hovering around his lips. He does it in play, Nothing
malicious, just an attempt to introduce a little bit of levity into
a house where bitching and back stabbing has become the de rigour.

For balance, we ought to mention the many moments of kindness
that he has given to everyone, which is why the 'lone wolf' role
works so well for him: he can give kindness without making
his 'off scene' moments hypocritical. He has respected the elders
in the house, even if they never earned the respect in the first place,
is very protective of all the women in the house; he hasn't even voted
for one <though I'm not sure>. Has always had the moment of awareness
that allows him to take his mind out of the competition, and to offer
comfort to those that need it. Without considering the action in terms
of outside perspective.

But, you dislike him because he is loud. Okay, if you think that 'weakness'
is enough for hate and it eclipses all his other qualities, then we shouldn't
really stand in your way.

Not only loud - but a deranged loonie as well.

We don't want a totally illiterate moron as a winning role model.

But he is just the type of weirdo who wins these things.

We need more intolerant, narrow minded, "real male" bigots like a whole in the head.

Well I started a Science is a loud mouth thread last night and got jumped on by all the Science-supporters with their "Science to win!" posts.

But there are plenty who don't like him anymore, despite trying, because he doesn't change, never listens to anyone's point of view, can't speak without shouting and is generally miserable.

Anyone know who was the 3rd person with the most votes last night?

I would imagine Orlaith, seeing as she was booed, and Science received alot of cheers.

OP, I think you're on the wrong forum for your campaign. Science is the favoured person around these lands.

I alternate between loving and loathing Science. He can be loud, obnoxious and opinionated, but he also has a kinder side to him, doesnt bitch as much as the others, and lastly deserves credit for overcoming his fear of water in the pool during BB games.

I'm watchin you, and you, and you, and from round the corner, you!
Think ur on the wrong planet! Stop talkin gibberish!

"Think the way he talks to some people is wrong?"
What about ignoring, slandering and ostracising people, is that OK.
This lot couldn't pass a task that doesn't involve lying to if theuir life depended on it!

Listen to Science & u will learn!
Listen to Derek & u will be decieved!

I was surprised last night that when BB came up in conversation how many of people did like Science. We all agreed that we couldn't live with him, but he was the nicest one out of the whole "sorry" bunch. Vanessa was the least liked, and it was decided Makosi had lost it when she said she was pregnant. So I guess that we on this forum aren't that far removed from the "general" feeling as others would suppose.

Why do you assume he is 'illiterate'?

I agree that Science does not put his point across in the most effective manner but the other HM's are guilty of not listening and dismissing anything Science has to say completely out of hand. I'd much prefer to listen to Science ranting loudly for half an hour than the others and their constant bitching, whispering and whinging about one another.

Is he a weirdo because he has big hair? R U still in the 50's?

Illiterate? You are saying he can't read or write?

I'd say you were deluded then..

Yes, I wondered about that one. He seems to be able to read laminates and other instructions well enough.

Actually Science puts his points across very well i think. His use of metaphor, allusion and irony I agree, does go over most of the housemates heads, but I think he has a true grasp of the house dynamics and a clearer picture than any of the self delusion that most the housemates are suffering.

Perhaps that's merely because he isn't particularly close to any of the other HMs? For that reason, I can't think of anyone in the House who would be likely to become Science's "bitching buddy".

i couldn't agree more.science's loud tendencies seem to annoy more people than any of his other attributes.(of which there are many)

ok,i can see how the shouting might annoy, but the fact that nobody listens to,or hears what science is actually saying means that people ignore the fact that most of what he says is right.

the fact that his arguing/communication skills are different to others is NOT a reason to hate, surely.!

he's also, just about the only HM who hasn't wound himself up with STUPID THEORIES due to the fact that he thinks he might know the game, the producers,or the public better than anyone else....unlike most of the rest of them at various times.(and i hope it's pointed out, vociferously,on eviction, how stupid people like derek kemal makosi et al have appeared with all the piffle about moles etc)
