After watching BB yesterday I cannot see how some FM think that Vanessa is fat! She is no bigger than a size 10!

She IS fat, and got fatter day by day in the house - forsooth you could almost see her swelling.

She's put on a bit of weight in the house, but's she not at all fat. She's got a nice figure. Ignore any body facists that say otherwise.

these days unless your spine is stickking visibly out of your back then you're fat. unless you are a size 6 or 8 you are fat. it's ridiculous.

Vanessa is NOT fat, she's just not skinny. Women are supposed to be curvy in places - not look like Orlaith!

I would not say she is fat BUT When you looked last night at her entering the house and then leaving the house she looks likely to have put on about a stone in weight, You can see it round her face and legs. So she has put on about 2LBS a week while she has been in there.

More reason for BB to give them physical tasks, that take more time to do (like the one from BB3, I think it was, maybe 2, with the pedelo, where they had to constantly keep it running, with 2 people, for 24 hours). It also guarentee'd there would be housemates up and active no matter how early I woke up.

No way is Vanessa fat! I think she's got a great figure! I like curvacious women much more than stick thin women! I agree Vanessa did put on a bit of weight in the house, but ALL the housemates in past series have done! Remember Michelle, Nadia, Adele, Jade etc etc. It's because they hardly have any proper exercise (due to the small area) and sometimes they have nothing better to do than eat!

The girl put on a few pounds in the house. She is not fat and I got quite irate reading some stuff on here with people calling her fat.

No wonder there are kids in this country suffering with eating disorders!

Why is it either fat or anorexic,and why is it if you say someones fat you are then responsible for all the nations eating disorders.

I find that weight is relative. Friends that are overweight tell me I'm too skinny, friends that are slim tell me I'm just right. A rather large mate tells me the bigger you get, the smaller every else seems!

Agree with you completely Caz. Anorexia is already a big enough problem amongst teenagers as it is, without people suggesting that someone in the public eye like Vanessa is fat.

Yep, I'd agree with that except I think saskia needs more than a tone up and would say she was overweight. She was the most unfit in the house bar lesleh and I suspect weighs a helluva lot more than she'd ever admit to.

When young girls hear or read that someone who is a size 10 is being referred to as fat they look at themselves and feel inadequate... this leads to eating disorders.

It is one thing to refer to someone who is genuinely fat as being fat... like me for example as I am a size 18 and it is an honest thing to say even though it might still be hurtful... but to suggest that someone who wears a size 10 is fat is just rediculous.

It's because people in the media have suggested things like this in the past and if teenage girls read that their idol (okay Vanessa isn't an idol, but that's beside the point) is fat when they're not, then they're going to stop eating to try and look slim when there's no need.

It's a very big problem in the UK currently and my younger sister went through something like it a few years ago. It can make people very depressed.

She's not fat but because she's chubby round the face so gives the impression of being plumper than she reallyis.

I was the same at her age but a couple of years later, and not having lost any weight - my cheek bones become more obvious so the rest of me looked a bit sleeker.

In Vanessa's favour, she has a pleasant voice and lovely laugh.

Pity she used both so destructively.

The problem is that she put on a few pounds in the house, but still had her old clothes with her so she was bulging out of them. In her new clothes yesterday on BBLB she looked lovely and slim. Shame she was so simpering but she is only 19 I guess.

she was a boring idiot waste of space and one of the worst hm's ever. Her only role over 8 weeks was to shore up Madcowsi's evil empire - apart from the marathon bitching fests she did nothing except eat and sleep. The production team on BBLB had enormous problems filling a 90 second vt with her 'best bits' for goodness sake, most clips comprised of her screaming in a not very hilarious manner.

Put everyone up for eviction with her blabbing, was complicit in the Sam bullying, refused point-blank to do a task and landed Maxwell in it, stuffed her face during every waking moment when she wasn't bitching, and yet failed to pick up many nominations, slyly flying under the radar and sheltering under Madcowsi's wing. A dreadful, apalling housemate that deserved every boo that she got and more. Endemol must have been desperate to get her out as they contrived the eviction so it would in all likelihood be Vanetha.

And in any case she's lucky she was evicted as it turns out - another few weeks in the house and you could have airlifted her to the African swamps where she wouldn't have looked out of place wallowing with the other hippos.

The revolting little girl isn't fat - she was just feverishly greedy.

I think this then bled into people calling her pig/fat/whale etc as it does.

Aaaaand she's gone. How lovely - soon to be seen grazing the buffet tables at magazine launches like a wildebeest on the Serengeti.

Exactly what was the relevance of any of that to this thread?

I didn't like Vanessa as a housemate but that has nothing to do with her weight or size.
