Great song, but it's not a love song - unless you subscribe to the 'greatest love of all' thesis.

The best - and the cheesiest - cheesy love song I know of is 'Close to You' by The Carpenters. Or...

Without You - Harry Nilsson
I'll Be There - Four Tops
Sweetest Feeling - Jackie Wilson
This Old Heart of Mine - Isley Brothers
I Say A Little Prayer For You - Dionne Warwick
Build Me Up Buttercup – Foundations
Baby, Now That I've Found You - Foundations
Love Will Keep Us Together - Captain & Tennille
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack
Let's Stay Together - Al Green
You Are the Sunshine of My Life - Stevie Wonder
You Are So Beautiful - Joe Cocker
Unforgettable - Natalie Cole / Nat King Cole
If You Leave Me Now - Chicago
In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel
Nothing Compares 2 U - Sinéad O'Connor
How Deep is Your Love - Bee Gees
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith

Or anything at all on Fleetwood Mac's Rumours which could be construed as a love song.

All classic, fantastic songs, but arguably not all cheesy.

How about 'Love Me For A Reason' - The Osmonds
No doubt about that one

The Greatest Love of All - George Benson

Double edged meanings (Happiness and Sadness) for me, but still a great slow one.

Bryan Adams - Everything I Do

Now, that's one cheesy, schmaltzy overblown song. And who can forget Wet Wet Wet's Love is all around?

I like Ruby's list above, but most of them are good songs, not really what you'd call 'cheesy' ..............

A really great love song is 'No Good Man' by Billie Holliday........as you might imagine he treats her mean, but she still loves him..........

cheesy.........how about that one that goes 'hey, hey, Paula, I wanna marry you someday'..........or 'Sugar Baby Love' by the Rubettes.

That is my cheesiest love song of all time. Eck. As cheesy as a well-matured Stilton left out at midday on the hottest day of the year... dipped into a cheese fondue and sprinkled with grated cheddar.

Thanks swingaleg. I don't know that song by Billie Holliday, but that description does sound like quite a few of her songs. Possibly one of the reasons I was always much more of a Nina Simone fan.

But yes I can remember the Rubettes. 'Sugar baby love, sugar baaaaby love...' Great tune!

Anyone remember:
Nothings gonna change my love for you - Glen Medeiros

I think it reached number 1 in around 1988?

That was pure cheese, if you have never heard of it then you should listen to the lyrics!

I so have to agree with you about 'Nothing's gonna change my love for you'. I heard it being played in HMV recently so it must be on a compilation somewhere.

Just did some research on it and it spent 4 weeks at Number 1 in July/August 1988.
Yet, its one of those songs that you never hear on the radio, although it pops up on VH1 every now and then.

The girls in my class at school used to love that song!

Another cheesy love song I just thought of...

All 4 one - I swear.

All of those lol Or most, some I dont like on there, but they're still good nevertheless.

Alexander O'Neal, If You Were Here Tonight, is just beautiful

Reminds me of an ex of mine whom I prolly still have feelings for.

Air Supply I'm all out of Love is very cheese lol, very likable though.
