What's your opinion?

I quite like it actually, I'd give it a 7/10

I think her voice is really good, and she can sing live just as good, well nearly!

I love the long note near the end. Its great how she has reinvented herself.

I think it's rubbish. There's already a thread about this pish excuse for music as well.

I'm sick of hearing it, personally.

I hear it at work, on music channels, and on the radio.

Grr.

It's good though, for her anyway. She sounds so different from the usual stuff she does.

I've noticed she's got into alot of disagreements with other Celebs.

Um..... Dame Shirley Bassey, Cheryl Tweedy, and others.....

The song is a good one, her voice is slightly above average - her phrasing is way off the mark.

What a load of bollox.

She has not got into trouble with anyone.

Bassey and Tweedy have made personal attacks on her for various reasons. As far as I am aware she has not responded and she has kept a dignified silence.

Either that or she has not sobered up enough to notice.

Her voice is way above average. It is one of the best around. She is a naturally gifted singer who has been trained in classical singing for over 10 years.

You may not like her personal style, or the style of music she sings, but you can’t reasonably criticise her singing ability too much.

I think the song is OK, but it does not appeal to me much. I would far rather listen to Bruce Springsteen, Lucie Silvas and others.

But Charlotte is technically a better singer than Bruce or Lucie, I just prefer the style of music and songs that they sing.

Charlotte may be technically better singer but she's not showing her full potential with this sort of music. She's taken an easy ride imo, I bet she didnt even have to try for this album.

Hmmm... don't think I'd give her a seven...

I'd give her one.

Well I just did! Her voice is/was superb at classical and operatic works, but singing pop is completely different - what you're suggesting would be like saying that Geri Halliwell could do La Traviata!

I think also she doesn't really have a personal style. Maybe that will come with time but it's not there yet (with regards to her pop career).

I don't have strong opinions about her as a person or singer - but she's hardly one of the all time greats is she?

It's hung around the charts for a while, I personally love her album which has just gone in at #5 not bad considering only 1 song has been released from it so far. She puts other UK pop "singers" to shame IMO.

That really isnt surprising. But Crazy Chick (the only track I've heard) just isnt enjoyable to listen to. The phrasing is not very elegantly done.

It's a hideous, unsubtle, crashing, banging mess

Don't mind her one, to be honest, but only because I don't listen to the radio very much (spend more time on MiPod, to be honest) and it's harmless enough.

Is harmless enough what you want from music? You must lead an exciting life...

I do, thank you very much. The track itself isn't particularly bad, and I could listen to it on the radio without pulling my ears off. I wouldn't buy it, or choose to hear it on a jukebox, but if it came on, I wouldn't recoil in horror.

But that isnt really glowing praise is it. Basically you're saying it's background music.

But that's because it's not my sort of music. I'm not a big "pop" fan, and that's what it is. Equally, I didn't actually praise it - I mentioned that I didn't mind it.
