Hi All,

Looking for a mailing list that i can join that will send me the UK Top 40 Singles and Albumns direct to my email address. Not a pay subsciption service. Free one - cos i am cheap!!! lol.

Thanks for any advice, suggestions in advice.

Also does anyone know of anysite that lists year by year every 1-5 hit single in a list, rather than a search service.

Ta.

I don't think anywhere will email you the charts... can't you just check the website every week ?

As for other question, try the retrocharts on everyhit.com

Blimey, you're a bit behind on that. Dotmusic used to be Music Week's website, they flogged it to Yahoo, who ran it for a while then rebranded it as Yahoo Launch.

You used to be able to get the charts from www.musicweek.com but I don't think they do it anymore.

Sorry, that's what I meant - they used to do them via email but no more. You also need to subscibe to the magazine to view most of their site (including charts) now.

Only one I could find was a subscription based service http://www.chartsplus.co.uk/

£29.99 for 3 months, £99 for year

Includes:
The Official UK Top 250 Singles Chart*
The Official UK Top 200 Albums Chart*
The Official UK Top 50 Compilations Chart*
The Official UK Top 50 Budget Albums Chart*
The Official UK Download Top 40*
Airplay Top 100**
FutureChart***
Rock/Metal Singles Top 40*
Rock/Metal Albums Top 40*
Dance Singles Top 40*
Dance Albums Top 40*
R&B Singles Top 40*
R&B Albums Top 40*
Indie Singles Top 50*
Indie Albums Top 50*
New BPI Sales Awards (Silver, Gold, Platinum)
New Entries Spotlight
Year-To-Date Top 75 Charts*
Very detailed information from looking at the sample which is quite similar to what the music industry would get.

Probably not worthwhile but worth a look.

Yes I subscribe to this one, however the updates have been patchy as of late.

The forums on http://www.coolclarity.com/ often have postings of all kinds of charts including the top 75 Uk singles every weeks and year-to-date charts.

Sent out on Wednesdays though - so if you're looking for them in your inbox, ASAP, then though poo on that front, but otherwise, the best publically available service that I know of.

You'll find it hard for a full top 40 charts list to your inbox as the charts company charges more for licencees who put charts in a newsletter etc, I dont see why you cant browse the web though!
