I read on another site and idea which sounds interesting but very unlikely. That is that all the episodes of Doctor Who ever broadcast, like all TV, are still bouncing around in space. All it needs is to wait until something is invented to be able to "catch" all the signals bouncing around and then we could all watch them again.

Well it is an idea..........

I'd heard that one too. Doubt if I'll live to see it though!

Interesting that this seems to be presented as a new thing, rather than just publicity/PR for the "missing believed wiped" scheme that has been running for ages.

I don't think it's necessarily the case that nothing will ever be found ever again: that's been said in the past, and Dalek Masterplan and Crusade episodes have since turned up. There are slimmer pickings, as time wears on, but it's not impossible. Fingers crossed for me for The Smugglers and The Savages!

Are you sure The Savages is missing? If that's the one with the cavemen, I'm sure that's been screened sometime relatively recently.

How can you not like The Chase? It has the totally cool Mechanoids in it.

Yes, The Savages is missing - the one with the cavemen is the very first story, An Unearthly Child which is due out on DVD in January.

ABsolutely! I've never understood this mentality of "there's one which should be lost" or "I hope they never release suchandsuch on DVD". Nobody's forcing anybody else to watch or buy any particular story so why deprive those who like it of something they want to watch?

I think the chase is 1 of the best Black and white storys a Doctor who fan can watch.

Surely if a TARDIS were real it would be used for bigger things than a BBC van! You need to go out and get some air!
