...before someone throttles the little bleeder.

I simply cannot understand how blinkered some FM's can be towards this guy. The excuses for his atrocious behaviour are wearing a bit thin, and are bordering on the ridiculous.

One of the most common excuses, that is regularly paraded out, is that the other HM's have isolated him. I can only assume that these FM's have not watched from WK 1, and have not been following the live feed. He stated, from WK1 that he was purely there for himself. His constant statements, indicating that he would act for himself, and not caring what others think, are far too numerous to mention here.

Sadly, this attitude that the world owes him everything, whilst refusing to do anything that he doesn't want to, is prevelant in todays society (mainly due to Mr Laud, and his colleagues - reap what you sow, eh Derek?)

Anyone that watched yesterdays live feed, from early afternoon to late evening, will have witnessed possibly the longest rant in TV history. Two things amazed me about this:

1. How the other HM's managed to keep their hands off him
and
2. How he never lost his voice.

The rant, in itself, was not even a constructive argument. Whenever anyone catches him bang to rights, as Derek did when he called him a thief for stealing his cigars, as did Craig, Kemal and Orlaigh, for going through Craig's drawer, and taking cigarettes without permission, he just comes out with the same old tired rhetoric: 'You're not from the 'hood', 'you don't know what it's like to be me' etc

I am absolutely convinced, after yesterdays performance, that Kieran (I refuse to call him Science, as this denotes a modicum of intelligence and decorum that he simply doesn't posess) will break all records for nominations this week.

I also hope that, once the GBP witness his thuggish behaviour on tonight's HL show, anyone with a sense of reason will see that the only reason that he's garnered so much sympathy up until now, is that:

A: He's had the benefit of very favourable editing
and
B: He's been supressing his true nature because of the cheers that he's been getting on the Fri live show.

I really do hope that the GBP will send a clear message that this is not the kind of person that we want to be seen as 'Winning', and will kick him out accordingly.

The thing now of course is the OP will be accused of dragging up 'old' issues, cos they referred to Kieron's actions in the first weeks.

BUT that is part of his problem from day 1 he has not altered one bit.... Oh f**k now great swathes are going to tell me he's consistent and 'true' to himself.

Science is at best annoying at worst a vulgar fool with a bag full of chips on his shoulder.

Thank you, Zimmy! I was beginning to think I was the only FM here who cannot tolerate this person's behaviour.

I've tried to like him, tried to make excuses for him (he can't help it, it's his upbringing, he doesn't know any better), but the truth is I don't think many FMs would be so enthusiastic if they were forced to live with this overbearing, intolerant bully whose sole answer to anyone who doesn't agree with him is SHUT UP!!!

He's said from day one that he's in the house for "self promotion," so his selfishness and utter disregard for his fellow housemates comes as no surprise.

Sadly, I suspect that he's going to go on to win at which point, his already-swollen head will expand beyond the moon's orbit and then explode.

What I find odd about Science's self-constructed image and that people fall for it, is his reliance on his supposed wisdom. I feel sorry for him: he's not wise, he's not even clever, he's inexperienced and he is fatally hampered by his complete lack of social skills and his aggression. He's like someone from a remote village who's turned up in the sophisticated world and been cruelly exposed - and is too naive to realise it. Unless he changes his behaviour he will end up getting hurt by life.

His fans seem to see him like those outsider characters in Mr Smith Goes to Washington or Working Girl - naifs who take on the horrible rats in society and with simple truths slay them - but that's fiction, it doesn't work in reality and is, in fact, cringeing to watch.

Well put, Duncann. Can you imagine Science ever trying to get a job? Work with and around other people? He thinks he's going to make a career from his music, but if what we've heard in the house is any indication, I think that's a very remote possibility, and that means that sooner or later, he is going to be going for job interviews. I shudder to think...

Sorry. I've never heard him mention having two jobs before. I'm sure he's a delight to work with.

Hyacinth, what were the two jobs? And the source of your information, please?

Science did have a job at a night club, as reported in his local paper.

No less respectable than standing around in a hotel lobby handing out leaflets (Saskia), or working in some dodgy massage parlour in North London (Mary), or fixing toilets in a high street shop and now being unemployed (Maxwell).

He did voluntary work at his local community centre and he was also a barman at a nightclub in Leeds.

He has mentioned cleaning jobs before also.

If I was in the house I'd want Science out.

But I'd like to see him beat Derek in the eviction.

Thanks, hyacinth. The article that you linked to mentioned two things:

Quote:
“ Mr Ahmed said Science spent his time at Archway guiding youngsters and helping them improve their rapping skills.”

And:

Quote:
“ Before going on the Channel Four show, Science worked in the Heaven and Hell nightclub in Leeds city centre.”

The thing at Archway sounds more like some sort of voluntary work rather than a job, really, but I won't quibble. I won't even be cheeky about Science's own rapping skills, though I'm a bit tempted...

I could understand people not liking Science, if the other housemates were all angels. They've bitched, backstabbed, stolen, etc, and yet 'some FM' on here forget all of that.

Dont throw stones if you live in a glass house.

Voluntary work is still commendable. If he is unalbe to get work during the day, is the best thing for him to sit around smoking weed, drinking beer and playing on his playstation?

What we don't know is how much time he spends at Archway. Indeed, maybe he does also take part in all of the alternative activities (smoking weed. etc) that you mentioned. Who knows? I don't, and I doubt if you do either, hyacinth.

Incidentally, did you see my earlier post mentioning that Science had been in trouble with the police? It would be interesting to learn what that trouble was, but no one seems to know.*

Edit: Sorry, it was in another thread; I thought it was in this one. Look in the last paragraph of this post...

He informed us himself, on the first night, that he came straight off the dole before entering BB.

But don't let the facts get in the way of a desperate defence eh

a - I totally disagree
b - he got booed - just the same as Maxwell on his eviction night, only last Friday, there were some cheers. I don't think he's surpressing his true nature at all.

It was inevitable that Craig's jealousy would get the better of him AGAIN. He lashed out in a jealous tantrum because he cannot accept it if someone dares to make Anthony a cup of tea (Eugene), let alone, talk to Anthony.

Craig was a predictable jealous prat last night, and played on the fact that the likes of Derek revelled in the attack on Science.

Ok - so Science shouts, but no more than Orlaith, and no more than Craig did last night.

Science shouts down people all the time. Orlaith shouted once, provoked by Science, and Craig (whom I despise) also shouted back at Science.

You cannot have a reasonable discussion with Science. If you say something to which he disagrees, he starts to shout, and he will continue to shout over whomever attempts to get a word in edgewise. He think that yelling at people and not letting them speak means he's the leader. So not just loud, rude, and intolerant, but clueless as well.

How someone so lacking in basic social skills is going to get ahead in life is beyond me.

On many occasions people have said that they could not live with Science. I could not either but i don't think i could live with anyone left in that house either.

The thing about Science is that he goads people most of the time and then when they try to reply, he doesn't give them a chance to reply, he is getting on my nerves now and until recently wanted him to win, not any more. Why can he just not shut up when people say they don't want to talk to him, he knows full well they can't thump him one and he plays on this. If I was Orlaith I would have thumped him by now and I do not like Orlaith but I think she has restrained herself very well under the circumstances. BTW Ballyhooly, Orlaith only shouts at Science because he won't go away, Science shouts at everyone except Makosi.

everyone is entitled to their opinions of housemates.

My opinion of Science is, well, the most genuine HM is there besides Anthony, I guess thats why Ant is fav to win and science is second fav to win....according to odds.

Science & Anthony are the only two housemates that deserve to be in the house on the final night, The rest of the morons are so fake, you could package them and sell em off on a sunday market in Birmingham.

Like I said, we are all entitled to opinions, the above being mine, but when I make opinions, I use my own thoughts aswell as obvious fact, and the facts are Ant & Science are the better housemates, regardless of whether you hate them or not....and that is what makes them rise above the rest.
