One Zen in fact I believe that you're missing my points.
If you read all of my threads you would understand my point of view more.
I said Science needs an ally in the house, not a friend. He is making it difficult, if not impossible for anyone to be his ally due to his behaviour.
An ally is by definition different to a friend. To make it though to the final stages of BB you need allies in the house.
I hope this has made my point of view clearer.

Thats not my point. Your telling me that the other HMs are more likeable? The only difference between Science and the rest is he isnt prepared to have bullshit friendships for the sake of survivial. He was forming a good friendship with Anthony but Craig obviously wants him to himself. He was initially the only person to give Eugene the time of day but Eugene has got caught up in the bitching and hes easy to manipulate for someone like Derek.
So the reason Science hasnt formed any friendships isnt becasue hes dislikable, cos lets face it ALL the HMs have charachteristics that are unpleasant.

Most of the housemates who've left the house (well, two I can think of), said they respected Science, and think he was given a hard time in there.
So he kinda did have allies, but they were kicked out.

Science went in looking for that fight last night and this time got off worse IMO which doesn't happen very often. It is interesting to see how a quick glimpse of positive public reaction can change a HM's behaviour - usually for the worst.

Ok sorry for the misunderstanding but i do agree with your point. He needs someone looking out for him and guiding him and sticking up for him. Whether you like him or not, it isnt nice to see 1 person isolated and picked on by the majority, that is bullying in its truest form. The same happened to Sam (ironically it was only Science that stuck up for her).
Yes hes been unreasonable at times but so has every HM in there, if that means you deserve to be isolated then that applies to every HM.

I know Saski defended him and alled him intelligent.
He needs active allies though and his behaviour is stopping this from happening.

I think the problem with 'his behaviour is stopping this', is that for Science to have 'friends' in there, he would have to start bitching and backstabbing like them, and Science is not like that, so even if he was to let them walk over him, he would never be 'accepted', and given the hatchet-job Makosi decided to do on Kemal, even being 'her friend' does not save you.

Maybe in your opinion thay are, but to me, I think the rest (maybe not Eugene), are pretty much vile. (just my opinion though).

Lol, good point. Giving up smoking when in a tense environment like the BB house was probably not a wise thing to do.
I'm just asking because I dont know, but if he had not gave up, would he have had to ask for some of the household money budget to be used for his cigarettes?

Roberto and Derek tried to guide him and then gave up when he constantly blow up over seemingly nothing.
Science has created the situation he is in; due to his isolationist behaviour and ability to get under someone's skin in an amazingly short time.
You are right it is not nice to see someone being bullied and I truely felt sorry for Sam as she had done nothing wrong and yet was hounded by Lesleh and her gang.
The situation Science is due to his erratic behaviour; he needs to listen to people, stop shouting and stop looking for an arguement.

Sure, there are two sides to every story. I'm not saying Orlaith is blameless. Just that Science isn't.

Many times people have asked Science to shut up when he's been ranting on and on in a most annoying way. Asking someone to quit their noise pollution is not unreasonable. In fact, surely it's the kind of "straight talking" that Science says he loves so much?
Science has many, many good points, but I fail to see why that means he can behave like a particularly stupid adolescent and be praised for it.

Yeah, I think thats what has happened in the past, usually buy rolling tobacco. And if you plead with BB like Nadia did last year, you may get a ration from them.
the reason science has not made any friends in the house is coz he dont like any of the house mates he would not be friends with these people in real life so hes not being false unlike others in there.

I disagree. He has certainly shown us a side of Orlaith that I suspect we might otherwise not have seen. She has been exceedingly rude and dismissive towards him as though he were an irritating insect she can just swat away, right from the moment she entered the house. I don't blame him in the least for setting her up.

So if he had not gave up, he would have had to take money from the shopping budged? Some could say that was a rather decent thing of him to do then, by giving up, he was allowing for more food for the house?
