Well, I have seen him apologise, after a period of reflection, on more than one occasion.. isn't that 'admitting you are wrong'

He cosciously didn't apologise to Derek for the cigar incident because Derek called Science an ignorant, illiterate fool, who he thought was justifying people saying n*gg*r, n*gg*r, n*gg*r, go back where you came from and was a disgrace to his race. he has made very personal attacks on Science of this nature on numerous occasions.

heh, the thing is, I wonder if Science is suffering from the same blindness as some of the people who support him: he's surrounded by absolutely godawful backstabbing manipulative cruel people, therefore he feels that his own behaviour is justifiable. It must actually be quite hard to see yourself in a bad light when you're surrounded by that lot. I know it would have boosted my ego in a perverse sort of way!
I think that if Science was surrounded by people he could like or admire, he would have demonstrated the capacity for self reflection a lot more convincingly. During the period of time in which he looked up to Derek, he seemed to be changing. And a glimpse of his dad had an effect too. But I can't really argue it, it's mostly just intuition.

(And intuition is also the only reason I believe he's the least misogynistic male in the house; certainly a lot of his comments have sounded dodgy.)

Possibly

Maybe that's why I'm down on him today. Whenever a HM garners a following of zealous supporters I seem to go off them.

Ahh, see, you think you're being different and clever, but you're actually just riding the Science backlash! There's a lot of it about.

What you want to do is get in on the counter-backlash before everyone's doing it.

(oh, and start supporting Orlaith; now there's a cause for the counter-suggestible if ever there was one. I actually like her and I feel like the only one.)
