It is Derek that turned on Science, not the other way around. Do you not remember Derek's week-long tantrum about how "Science is no friend of mine", "I want nothing more to do with him for as long as I am in this house" and so on and so on.
There is nothing thuggish about Science. He was provoked by almost the entire house on Sunday night, and not once did he look like he was about to punch anyone. Compare that with Maxwell who looked like he could punch Science, even when Maxwell had 3 people backing him up and Science was alone!
Can you think of a single instance where an argument has been Science and other housemates ganging up and arguing with a single housemate? I can't, because it doesn't happen. Unlike the rest of the cowards in there, Science sticks up for himself, does so in a non-violent or threatening way, and sure, he's not perfect, and throwing the water was out of line (you are simply lying and twisting things by bringing up the bin because that was an accident), but compared with everyone else in there he is an angel.
I would agree that when he gets back to the outside world, he will find it a lot easier if he tones it down, takes more time to listen to opposing points of view, etc. But that wouldn't be nearly as entertaining as his arguing - so for Big Brother purposes, he doesn't need to change a bit. He's the perfect housemate as far as I'm concerned. It's also worth noting that Science has been right in almost every single argument he has had.
