Is it just me or has the site been up and down all day, and how now been down for several hours?

No wonder C4 cant do the streaming, they can't even keep a website online.

I was able to get into it earlier on b4 sunita left ut not all the graphics were showing up. Now i cant access it either.

i havn't been able to get it all day i get an error 403 You are not authorized to view this page.
I thought it was just me that couldn't get in as others seem to be having no problems.
I can't get any channel4 page to work at all

Previouse years the site was hosted by terra, this years its been hosted on there own server, which I don't think can cope with all the hits to the site, well thats what I think!!

I cannot access it either - - at least DS have their site sorted....
I was worried cause i thought it was a problem at my end !

its becauce they have to take all the pictures off that showed glimpses of the heaven/hell split in the house.

the forums have not been working at all tonight, and not for a while yesterday. Wonder why? What opinions are they trying to gag by keeping the forums down - I cannot believe it is still technical problems - they would have sorted those by now. Best way to suppress discussion is to effectively close the forums!

The forums on the C4 website were taken down yesterday because somebody posted the URL's for the Webfeeds on there meaning you can watch without paying.

I read in the Sun today that the site has had 9.1 million hits this week.

Thats double the amount to last year, im not surprised its down, they couldnt have expected double the amount of hits.

my name is Dan, I work for a company in ireland, we were requested to do some work for the website by channel 4. Channel 4 tendered out their internet and sponsorship last year, unfortunly no-one would sponsor the website to enable FREE feeds. So therefore the option for paying was made. The website, which was hosted by Terra last year. with-held their hosting this year due to rising costs.

The channel 4 website as a whole was been moved to a new server therefore it was out of action for a while today. Nothing to do with big brother. The photos of the "heaven and hell" house, were removed, within hours of the first posting on the internet.

As partial hosters to the channel 4 website, I personally seen other photos of the big brother house in many situations, the heaven and hell been one of 4 different possibilities.

Over the ten weeks, big brother have a list of over 40 tasks, each have been tested and photographed for the website. Stay tuned for more internet pictures on the site!,

thanx for info Dan... very interesting. Just a shame that the feeds came in at £10 a month - that is some big hike from Free!!!! C4 and BB have had their asses roasted for this, and should have subsidised the costs. £5 was more than enough for the series anyways. The site is still down this am - personally i do not understand how or why it's taking so long, but they'll eventually get it right. I don't blame C4 closing down the forums - I knew it would happen sooner or later. The format in any case was so crap.
