Well said, i watched it live last night and science was a nightmare stormin round trying to pick arguments with anyone that would listen, i say well in to craig for standing up to the irritating bigmouth!

Science to WIN.

He'll look good tomorrow as well because he was the best "dog" in today's task.

You can't play grammar queen and still use comma splices!!!

Was that a joke? Or do you really believe it is correct to write "in this vain"?

Hm. I wonder is there's a link between Science fans and poor spelling, grammar and punctuation. >_>

I liked Science until last night's live feed, then I couldn't stand him again....yet the highlights showed everyone attacking him for seemingly no reason...??? What the hell happened to the 3 or so hours of Science's RANT RANT RANT we had to endure? What happened to Anthony talking calmly to Science, while Science RANTED RANTED RANTED...??? What heppened to the mass exodus from one room to the other while Science imposed his voice on each and every one of them?

Science is a pain in the butt.

You're asking for trouble, you know. I remember once last year I made a similar suggestion about Michelle's fans. They were not happy! One even dared to accuse me of misusing a semicolon...

AGREED!!! The only time he calmed down was AFTER a DR visit, after which he decided to stay in the kitchen (where no one else was) and start making food - the cause of the intial argument

I read the forums this afternoon. I don't watch the live feed. The Science fans on here were concerned he had blown his chances last night and were critical of him. But tonight I couldn't see why they thought that and the same people are now saying the editing fairly showed what happened. I have absolutely no idea why Craig, sitting with the others chatting, suddenly went beserk at Science. I couldn't follow it. I get the impression a lot was cut out.

with comma splice (incorrect):

I wouldn't normally bother, however, you deemed it necessary to correct another DS member's post in this vein.

with semicolon (correct usage):

I wouldn't normally bother; however, you deemed it necessary to correct another DS member's post in this vein.

Google comma splice and you'll find thousands of better explanations. But basically you can't use a comma to join two full sentences into one. Speaking as a semicolon fan I would have to say it bugs me.

I wouldn't have said anything all the same, but you were asking for it!

About 4 hours were cut. I still have a headache from it. Science RANTING isn't for the faint-eared.

I got that impression from the length of the show. 24 hours into one does not compute

Come out here and say that to my face!!!

Actually, to be fair, I was wondering the same thing in reverse, having noticed a great many of the anti Science posts are quite illiterate. I was considering running a bunch of pro and anti posts through a literacy checker thing just to satisfy my curiosity on this point, but I'm not a sufficiently dedicated geek to bother, and it would only have started a flame war anyway!

There was a lot cut out. One of the main things that wasn't really shown was the way in which Derek stirred the pot and created an atmosphere. Although Science got a good deal out of that Highlights show so did many others. Craig came off worst imo... and in fact that was probably a fair reflection as he was the most antagonistic... all spurned from jealousy!

I understand that, being a film maker. I obviously meant a lot of the Science beahviour material was cut.

They had to cut it seriously or the entire highlights show would be science shouting and ranting... and it would still be three hours long LOL

How dare you! I've posted quite a lot against Science, or at least against his more rabid fans. Am I illiterate?

A dangerous question, I know....

However, I think mistakes of grammar, spelling and punctuation are extremely common on this forum among the fans of all HMs.

Now, have I managed to write all that without making a mistake?

Watch out Sigurd, the deal was, no posting about the 'un-named one'.
