I'm still watching it, but hasn't it become hard to watch?

BB/Endemol helped to create it long before then, by picking the housmates they did.Remember the HMs trying to sell themselves in the auditions, remember how many of them proudly listed how they enjoy.. bitching, destroying people's lives, arguing, telling people what they think of them etc.

It has become harder to watch. I've noticed that the housemates are increasingly talking about each other as opposed to anything in the outside world, for example. Also, Derek and Kemal have been going on about moles for far too long, and Makosi's behaviour regarding her suspected pregnancy has just been plain confusing.

I agree; It has become a ral bore to watch. All they do is scream and shout at each other, demand their own way, bitch about each other, abuse each other verbally. They are incapable of any form of civil interaction let alone have any fun. Most teenagers are angels compared to this lot of 'adults'. I only bother to record the highlights and zip through them in case there might be something

My friends and I used to do our own nimination predictions and have a BB party on the final night. This year we don't even talk about it.

Give us normal people, not freaks or stereotypes and lets see tham interact, have fun, have disagreements etc

ditto!!

I actually said to my hubbie "I can't physically watch a person being treated like this any more"

Craig, Derek, Eugine and Khumal should be at least given a warning over all this character assassination and planning to starve Science etc.

Its unbelievable - grown men!

“I totally agree. Usually I love BB - last year's was just wonderful, and I have a whole group of friends and colleagues who I usually discuss it with but this year they've mainly turned off or watch it sporadically like I do. I agree with your assessment of the housemates. It's so depressing when you realise there's not one person in there (and hasn't been from the beginning) that you actually like. I don't want any of them to win - they're all obnoxious, quarrelsome, selfish, dysfunctional and thoroughly unpleasant. Does anyone get the feeling this represents the wider buzz about the show this year? A friend of mine says she doesn't hear the usual BB chat on her morning bus this year and I wondered if people's perception was that it wasn't as popular this year.”

I agree, I now only watch on a tuesday (for noms) and friday (for evictions, if I am home), but I just can't be bothered to watch the rest.

During the first few weeks, BB was on the TV at work constantly (with over 300 staff on different shifts) and the talk at break times was always BB, Now the TV is on another channel or switched off and BB never comes up in conversation anymore.

My friends and I have always been BB fanatics every year and this time of year we would usually be talking about BB 90% of the time, but none of us even bring it up anymore.

Oh well what can we do? BB is F***ed up this year. Perhaps they should let us the public vote Who Goes Into the House next year

Totally agree, used to even look forward to BB but now can hardly bear to watch the highlights, read the forums more which are a great deal more entertaining. Maybe my husband was right all along with his comment of 'What a load of Rubbish'. Have just switched on E4 live to another nasty Craig/Science tirade, enoughs enough!

returning to the lost innocence of some BB eden is impossible for a number of reasons.

....very few "innocent" people will apply

....Big Bro needs advertising revenue and thus needs to ensure new twists pull in the audience numbers

....and endemol has already collated research data from the simpler days. now it is getting huge and instant feedback-data on new techniques of manipulation and attentiveness, via the housemates themselves, the voting reactions and the forums like this.

Yep, I think it's definitely the make-up of the house - other factors, maybe, like how BB deals with them, the tasks(?!) etc - but they did definitely deliberately pick people whose tactic to get in was to say how nasty they were. There wasn't a wide enough range of ages, personalities etc.

Whatever you think about Eugene, he's different from the original 13. Out of the 8 women (including Kinga) how many just wanted to show off their boobs at a moment's notice?? (I think 6.) IS that a representative sample of BB applicants??? At least they could have had a bit of variation.

I think BB has become literally a joke this year. It's a comedy show. I'm just laughing at these idiots...I have no respect for any of them. It's not my kind of BB but it's still worth watching to see just how ridiculous these people can make themselves look.

They should stop random people in the street and ask them a few questions. If they say yes, they enjoy bitching or 'destroyi ng people', or they say they want to be famous, then don't choose them. Rather choose anyone that says no.

Sorry - I like Science but Makosi is just as entertaining and today she really stuck her neck out for Science.
