I have nothing against Anthony, but he has done bugger all in there, now why people should see him as the rightful winner I just dont know.

How he makes us laugh, with his witty insightful comments. And then I'm thnking back to the "date" with BB, it was so funny they only showed two minutes of the two hours that it took. God, he cracks me up.

I think you are right and I have pondered a similar thing myself. Every year there is the “cute boy” who is one of the bookies favourites throughout – for that very reason he is cute and they think he will pick up the teeny text vote. However, last year Stu didn’t win, in CBB Kenzie/Jeremy didn’t win, in BB4 Scott didn’t win, in BB3 Alex didn’t win. It happens every year that the punters put their money on the cute ones, thus making them favourites.

However, I do wonder whether this year might be slightly different. In previous years there has been an out and out winner from reasonably early on (only BB3 was fairly open), and the popular characters in previous years have in some respect at least been “likeable” plus entertaining, thus making people want them to win.

This year, however, although the characters in there are “entertaining” very few of them are actually likeable, and I wonder if it gets down to the final few whether Anthony might pull in the votes because the voters really do not want Mekosi, Derek, Science (or whoever else is there) to win, and therefore pick up the phone and vote for Anthony because at least he seems like a nice enough lad, has been mildly entertaining and hasn’t shot himself in the foot like many of the other HMs.

My view is that, unless BB do something with the nominations (which is quite likely), Craig is going to slip through to the end as he isn’t going to be up for eviction, Anthony will probably slip through on the same basis, that leaves probably 2 other people there with them that are saved on an eviction vote, probably Science and then either Makosi/Derek or Eugene. So many voters have issues with Craig, Mekosi, and Derek then would they not perhaps vote for Anthony on the basis that the others don’t win? The only thing that could scupper that maybe is if Eugene is there who may also get the nice guy vote.

At this stage I think Science will take it with Anthony second, but a few more outbursts from Science and its anyone’s.

Out of the all housemates, I most wouldn't mind Anthony winning. That's not because I especially like him, but rather because at the moment he is coming across as the best of a bad bunch. Unlike everyone else bar Eugene, although his loyalty lies with Craig he seemingly doesn't feel inclined to bitch, argue and have beef with the rest of the house.

He might not be particularly interesting, but he has always been up for doing things 'for the craic', as he'd say, and is perhaps the nicest guy in there.

I think you summed that up really well, my 13 yr old daughter thinks he is "well fit" but... I pay the phone bill and her mobile phone bill so she is hardly likely to make a difference in saving him should he be up for eviction and a lot of teens face the same problem. As their voting tends to be subject to parental approval

Anthony is a pretty boy but he certainly hasn't done anything to make me want him to win he makes me think of a puppy or a pretty ornament. Stu was the same, Kimmy fancied him last year and he didn't win despite being a favourite.

Kimberley actually wants Kemal, Derek or Eugene to win she just likes seeing Anthony and a lot of her friends at school feel the same way, so it is a myth that the teenyboppers decide the winner. They are not all as shallow as they are made out and don't automatically vote for the one they see as the fittest hm. Last year she wanted Nadia to win over Stu.
