Housemates were cooking a meal then Science jumped up very aggressively... went to the fridge and started pointing at stuff and shouted that he was having "that that and that... I'm cooking for myself" this then led into a huge row.

"First off, yes I am a Science fan, why shouldn't I be?

I have spent the last day on here defending him to everyone I can who has written about him. I have not even gone on any other threads to 'slag' off any HM's like people are Science at the moment, because so many threads on 'I hate Science', 'I dislike Science', 'Could you live with Science' etc..are popping up left right and centre you can't ever get to read any other threads.

Yesterday was horrible on these boards. I talk to a few people privately who are NOT Science fans, but they gave up on here yesterday as it was just a forum full of nasty, vindictive posts that went on and on and on about how much some FM's they hated Science..often by the same few people.

Now it is starting again today and it is ruining this forum. there are loads of anti Science threads....before starting a new one, can you not see if your point can go on an old one?

And no I am not the forum police..but this is ruining the board for Science fans and NON Science fans who just simply can't even get in to talk about their favourite HM's as any other threads are on page 3 in a few minutes..as I am sure this one will be. Even fun threads are being ruined by certain FM's, appreciation threads are being taken over by anti appreciaters, etc.

And before one of the 'core' anti Science haters says, well, you all did it about Maxwell for the billioneth time today....no we didn't all do it about Maxwell. If I had a point to make about Max, I'd look for a relevant thread to put it on rather than start a thread saying 'I hate Max'.....

This is all bad forum behaviour and is ruining these boards for alot of people...whoever you support. And I am just talking about a few FM's here....the same ones who started all this yesterday...though I obviously will not name names. I hope I can appeal to their better nature.

Rant over..just the atmosphere on here at the moment is very nasty...and very unsettling. "-Bohochicks thread cut and pasted


Chris by posting this pointless new thread you have just validated all the rhetoric on Bohochicks thread. Why do people keep starting these threads over and over. It just makes the Science fans even more inflamed

All the anti Science posts just make me more determied to stick up for the bloke, its getting to the stage where people are not even bothering to watch the other HMs instead just focusing of Science and slagging off anything and everything he does regardless of other HMs doing worse

No one complained with all the Derek hate threds about his past its just if it is Science.

Ooh look on DSBB there are 20 threads all ready discussing the recent arguments or the FMs opinions of Science. So what does an FM do read and contribute to one of the threads all ready discussing a point I want to make or start another thread?

Would it have been that hard to have read, and I mean thoroughly a thread all ready open, rather than clogging up the forum with yet another rehash of what is all ready being discussed on at least 10 other threads.....

Well said hobbes/Bohochicks. Never understood the "grandstanding" mentality behind wanting to start a thread. If it’s needed then do so but it seems as though too many people are gagging for the tiny bit of kudos associated with being thread starter that they’d rather die than add to an existing one.

Already a sizeable thread on this afternoon’s events along with the WHATM thread.

With the earlier argument, Derek saw that the other HMs were ready to have a go at Science - he lit the touchpaper with a little nudge from Eugene. But I do agree - this one is all Science

I've lost count of the amount of times I've been or have watched another poster being jumped on for simply posting in one of those threads. Admittedly, it is usually by the same 4 or 5 groupies.
