Just admit you don't like Science because he reinforces your view of a stereotypical young black male. He comes across loud and brash and aggressive.

The thing is that if you look below the surface he hasn't set out to cause any trouble, he has just defended himself when picked on. Also listen to what he says and you will be surprised to hear that alot of the time he speaks very wisely. Science does have his bad points, but let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Don't let the media brainwash you, give the guy a chance and maybe you might grow to like him.

Science to win or at least beat Craig and Derek.

We have the usual 4/5 Science haters, no more than anyother forum.

They seem to lie alot about him and even sometimes try and pretend to be Science fans (LOL) in order to have a dig at him.

I started to dislike Science the week he was up against Maxwell, because of his reaction to being nominated. Until then he had been my joint favourite with Derek. He assumed (incorrectly) that Derek must have nominated and it was Science's childish and aggressive behaviour toward Derek that week that caused them to fall out.

It is nonsense to suggest that Science doesn't set out to make trouble.

That said I still prefer Science to Craig, Orlaith, Makosi and Kemal.

I don't like him. I used too- I thought he stood up to Maxwell really well and made an effort around the house.
I judge the housemates in the same way that I would judge my friends and the reason I've gone off Science is that he demands too much energy. He can be loyal and honourable but he seems to eat up the group energy, at the same time he puts little back.
I think it is deeply patronising for you to assume I dislike Science as he is somehow 'stereotypical' of the negative portrayal of black youth. What about black people who don't like Science? I'm old enough and clever enough to make my decisions without the influence of a supposed media bias.
I think Science will turn out fine in a few years though, he's an intelligent young man who is at present discovering the power of his mind. The problem is he now needs to become as interested in others as he is in himself.

People don't like him because he's loud and childish. ALot of the time he acts like a 5 year old.

Not just the countries view but BB view also thats why he is in the house.They choose extreme characatours for the house.I don't like him because he is constant never alters always shouts never accepts responsibilty or fault and never listens to anyone.He thinks he knows everything he winds people up,is getting more and more arrogant,talks into the camera and makes me want to turn the telly over when he starts which he does at certain intervals.If as Derek has worked out but gone about it nastily if you just ignore and don't allow him an argument he does'nt offer anything.

I didn't meant to patronise, but you must understand how hard it will be to apply a point to everyone!! Whilst there will be many people like yourself who may like him for other reasons, there are people on here who do not like him because of their own racial views. I am playing devils advocate and seeing if anyone would be honest enough to admit it in a forum. Race is a very crucial part of BB this year so just wanted to see if I could start a lively debate.

Almost everyone who dislikes him (don't use that word hate, they're only gameshow contestants!) gives the same reasons. He shouts over everyone else for very long boring periods, and he has selfish childish tantrums. He also calls himself 'Science the Great' and goes round shouting 'I am amazing' etc. None of those things are stereotypical of anyone other than him - he's very idiosyncratic - and they are all obvious defects. Even most of his supporters find his shouting wearing. To me he is most like Bob Geldof on a bad hair day - he's always shouting and talking right over other people and has a very high opinion of himself and his musical talent.

I dont hate 'Science'. I dislike him. It has nothing to do with him being a 'stereotypical black male'.

I have seen him use bullying tactics as bad as anyhting anyone else in that house has used. He is not beyond resorting to racism and sexism during conflicts with others. He refuses to accept anyone elses opinions on anything, even when those opinions dont conflict with his own.

People who dont like science are the people who have the sense to imagine they are the ones he is shouting at.

Why don't science fans "be honest" for a change.
If a punk kid was telling you or your children to "shut up you idiot" would you still defend his right to do so? I bet you wouldn't.....

The people who don't like science have self respect, enough self respect to not tollerate that kind of behaviour from a typical coward.

With respect there is agression in shouting, particularly when you do not allow the other person the opportunity of responding.

I deal with agressive people at work everyday of the week. They do not have to throw a punch to be agressive. It is abuse to invade a persons own personal space by shouting at them and getting louder and louder.

I do not HATE Science, I do not know him. I would imagine he must be hard to live with. His treatment today has been brewing for some time. If he would only talk more quietly and let another HMs finish a sentence he would find that people would react to him so differently.

I have alwasy thought it isn't what he says it's the way he says it.

Do you think they would listen to Derek if they liked Science? He has gone so far now that the others actually say 'Oh no, here comes Science' and avoid him so that they don't get caught up in his next tantrum
That is Sciences doing, he's turned people against him because of his unreasonable behavior.

I don't care much for Science, I don't think anyone would admit to hating him because of his colour/background (although I'm sure there are people on this forum that do). I don't need the media to 'brainwash' me, I can see he behaves like a fool and it's his fellow housemates behaviour towards him makes me feel my opinion of him is justified.
