If you read his last column it explains there - he was offered the chance to go travelling so decided not to finish his term with DS:BB.

He’s travelling apparently. Dean (BB2) has filled in for him on one column.

My mate has bumped into him in a hostel in Oz, he said he's there to get away from the BB6 hype.
