Sorry if this posted already

Why do housemates have to stay in the living room when someone is being evicted?? and the evictee has to stay run out to the doors???

Last year they used to be able to say goodbye at the door?

I assumed it was something to do with the delays evictees were causing whilst leaving with more and more hugs and kisses and tearful goodbyes etc.

Thing is with this lot is it would be more likely to be a knife in the back for those staying......

It also stops the HMs hearing the crowd cheering/booing directly when the outer doors open.

Hardly. They stand outside the living room box this year - an even better chance at hearing the boos or cheers.

The reason for keeping them separate was so that the HMs don't know for sure if the HM has been evicted, or just gone into another room in the house.

The Secret Garden HMs entrace was probably the main reason why...so they could enter without being seen.
