Science singing De La Soul's 'Me Myself And I"

You've got to admire the guy's resolve!

Despite the constant haranguing and ostracism at the hands of the herd he still proceeds with such pluck and ironic self-awareness.

I loved it this morning when he likened Craig and Anthony to "Yogi Bear and Boo Boo" after yet another contrived hectoring session intent on further ostracism.

Also despite Derek's elistist pronouncements (when making reference to Science not being on a par with Shakespeare) in the heat of the exchange, I actually consider Science to be extremely creative and theatrical - especially when issuing his often amusing and astute soliloquys about the unthinking fraternity around him for want of having no alternate interlocutor. I think he can be quite profound and almost Shakespearean, especially when it's done in verse.

I love that he remains sanguine and has the fortitude and strength of character to not kowtow to the herd. He is the antithesis of the 'herd mentality' and it's no wonder he often decries the fact he isn't heard.

I am really rooting for Science and hope he wins! If he is indeed up against Derek this week I relish the prospect of yet another 'good vs evil' contest. It has the makings of a fantastic Tragi-Comedy!

Too many long words for me but I think I agree with the ones I understand

Please, where can I buy your thesaurus?

EDIT: Oops, I'd best actually make a comment that adds to the thread. It is shocking that Science can receive as much stick as he does (well-deserved, mind) but seemingly not be affected by it. That takes extreme confidence and absolute ignorance. If Science could only make a compromise and realise that you can be sure of yourself without having to be arrogant, then maybe he wouldn't polarise opinion so much.

Like he said himself "I am not a sheep, I am a shepard"

Had to smile at "Me,Myself and I" earlier

Derek: You're no Shakespeare.

Science: No. He's dead.

I'm so pleased to hear of his apparent resilience in the face of all the negativity coming his way at the moment! Keep it up Science - don't let the bu**ers grind you down or provoke you into lashing out!

I think this is why people like Science, despite his sometimes-offputting behaviour.

Excellent post, Mr Nagel.

Only three posts since 2003? You really should post more.
