My feelings for Derek have been up and down since the start of BB... for the past 2 or 3 weeks I've considered him an arrogant pompous snob. Thanks Derek for proving me right (for a change!).

I cant HELP but get angry, as it is a reflection of society, people just will not see things which are staring them in the face.

It makes me angry, and upset that my son might have to grow up in a world where people like Derek not only exist but have a high social status further enabling them to spread their poison elsewhere.

I don't see how the colour of Science's skin has any bearing on his recent behaviour and I really can't fathom why Derek keeps raising it as if it does.

I think Science put it best during nominations "Its not a colour thing...." If you find Science's constant shouting annoying. If you think he talks rubbish, or indeed if you love him and find his constant ranting amusing, then you are reacting to his personality.

I know it's difficult - I hate having to stand at my local bus stop and see the initials 'NF' scratched into the wall over and over. I hate the fact that the BNP posted one of their leaflets through my door at the last by-election, with Nic Griffin's son grinning at me, telling me his daddy isn't a racist. But getting angry will only drive you mad in the long run. Derek preaches irrationality, and the best way to combat his line of hatred is by keeping your cool.

To be honest, I'm not sure if the Tory party will continue to employ him when he leaves the house. They're desperate to convince the public that they're not racist, and Derek's behaviour isn't going to help their public image. The best hope is that he will get sacked as a speech writer, and then his views won't be inflicted on the general public. But then the Tories aren't great at making the right decision

i find it hard to belive that people don't think people can be racist against there own race. I for one know that isn't true because I had to put up with it all through school.

Makosi and Science who seem to be 2 people that are very proud of their race and culture nominated derek for the same reason.
I would never EVER in a million years degrade my own race the way derek does.

Apologies for not specifying. It's just that certain FMs, whom i refuse to name so as not to give them popularity, don't seem to be able to read between the lines . How can anyone justify the sort of comments Derek comes up with . As for Sci, one can criticize his behavior but very rarely his actual comments!

In addition to the comment in the title of this thread, I will add the following post, that was on a thread that was removed.
Why threads of people commenting on what was ACTUALLY said by a HM and seen by millions, are deleted, is beyond me.

Anyway.. here it is:

"That boy is the kind of black man that makes me hate black men" is what he pretty much said a couple of nights ago.

What further proof do the people who support him need that this "person" is not only a disgrace to black people for being one of them, but is also promoting racism by making comments like these.

1. He hated Anthony (and still does, despite the fact that he pretends to like him so that he'll get him and Craig on his side, this way avoiding getting nominated)
2. He hated Maxwell (and still does, despite all the bullsh*t he's now feeding Craig for the same reason given above)

He never said that either of them made him want to hate all white men!
What so terrible did Science do for a supposedly "well-educated" and "with famous friends" "man" to express hatred via the generalisation "all black men"? The answer? Nothing.
Derek once AGAIN has made racist comment directed at another black person. I clearly therefore come to the conclusion that he hates black people and my personal opinion is that his hatred towards Science really stems from the fact that he hates himself. All this was analysed by various other FMs in a different thread (Derek: The Human Stain )and I will not repeat "the whys" now, but it's pretty low and not very clever for a 41 year old, who proffesses to have travelled a lot and have met a lot of very important people, to express such views on a show so popularly watched.

Please tell me... what more proof do the people who like him need to accept Derek's racism? Him to dress up in a KKK outfit? It's about the only thing he hasn't done yet, when it comes to expressing his views on the matter.

You almost feel sorry for him, he has been totally brainwashed. What he must be going through in his life must be weird. There are people who feel that they are a female in a mans body. We clearly have a white middle aged tory in a black mans body.

I thought tonight's show was saddening. Science is being isolated for having GOOD qualities. It's wrong and I've seen it so many times.

Sadly this is still often to do with race and class. Although many people prefer that not to be mentioned.

Now, let me see.

I am a middle-aged white woman who thought what Derek said about about Science was absolutly appaling.
