This is a helluva long shot but here goes:

I remember hearing a song back in 2001, a sort of uplifting dancy number. The only lyrics I can remember were the chorus and they're really not much to go on...

"Ride...
Ride...
Ride...
Keep on ridin'...."

I remember it because I was working in a pub in Brighton and we were all getting ready to go out to Pride, we were singing along replacing "ride" with "Pride"!

I've searched high and low but as you can see there's not a lot to work from. I think it was fairly recent at the time (2001), possibly from one of those "summer compilation" albums, but I could equally be wrong and someone was playing a CD from months or years earlier.

Any clues, anyone?

Try an advanced google search.

Here is one of the results lists I got.

Vary the search terms and you might get lucky.

Sure the lyrics aren't "Rise?" Cos those lyrics sound like a house song from 2001, it was by the Soul Providers feat. Michelle Shellers "Rise".

Yay! If you're trying to track it down I do believe it was on a Hed Kandi CD (Probably a "Disco Kandi") a few years back, try your local HMV or Virgin, they usually have a pretty decent back catalogue.

Top tune too!

Yup, it's a great track, superb memories of being a fresh-faced 21 year old barman flooding back now!

I was obviously recalling it as "ride" because of our alternative singalong back then....

I have downloaded it from Limewire for now but I will hunt down the Hed Kandi album too, firstly to get the track legally and secondly because there's probably loads of other fantastic tracks on it to remenisce with!

Thanks once again....

Aha! It's here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...643032-1587654

I actually remember the album now from the cover, it belonged to one of the other staff and "Another Chance" by Roger Sanchez was another pub favourite, as well as "Flawless" by The Ones.

I'm ordering it right now, £14.99 well spent in anyone's books!
