Each day is the same...

Is it me, or is BB now just going through the motions?

Considering there are 9 housemates still in the house - the day-to-day footage is really dull. Admittedly the twist last week was good - but that was on Friday, what about the rest of the week.
Each nightly episode will guaranteed to have all of the following:

1) A mention of a task in the first 5 minutes, then not mentioning it again for the entire episode.
2) Craig and Anthony bickering/cuddling.
3) Kemal and Derek bitching about at least 2 housemates.
4) Science shouting nonsense and refusing to be quiet.
5) Orlaith getting ready in the bedroom, pouting, touching boobs.
6) Makosi in the diary room talking about how its time to go as no-one likes her.
7) Eugene given only 30 seconds of screen time.
8) The episode ending with them all in bed except for one housemate walking around doing nothing.

I know that the footage relies on the housemates - but does it really have to be the same each day?? The tasks are usually totally rubbish and the novelty wears off after about 5 minutes. Dont get me wrong i'm not having a go at the housemates - they will only be as exciting as what is on offer. But this really is now becoming a very dull programme. I really want it to be good - but surely other people agree that its not as interesting as it should be?

There should be more for them to do - treat them more like guinea pigs rather than just let them sleep.

Groundhog Day in the house - yes possibly

Perhaps it should be like that, it fits with the theme of a reality tv show

Make every day the same - it would start to put a strain on the housemates, and they may react in interesting ways.
If you take away Derek's watch, and make sure they can't see what time of day it is.
They seem to have lost track of time anyway.
Derek & Orlaith still think Wimbledon is going on

And people wonder why the forum has turned nasty, will someone please e-mail C4 and tell them we are p****d off with BB being so dreadful this year and it's making the most normal and level headed person (well we all must be cos we're here) go insane and threaten violence and worse to fellow FMs for the merest slight.

Let's all storm the set and poke the HMs with sharp sticks till they do something original. That or we could all meet up and burn effigies of Endemol management.

YES I am getting THAT desperate.

We won't find out until we grow

Well I don't know if all that's true
'Cause you got me, and baby I got you

Babe

I got you babe I got you babe"

Oh fcuk!

I completely agree. Kept switching channels last night because it was so bloody boring. Is this the most wearisome, rubbish BB EVER? The remaining HM's are all pathetic, bitching dullards (with the exception of Science who can hardly hold the show together on his own) and quite frankly, it's hardly worth watching. I can honestly say I haven't warmed to anyone and couldn't give a rat's ar*e who wins. Whatever you may have thought about Maxwell, at least he DID things in there other than constant, relentless bitching. It is the same whispered bitchings from the same people about the same people night after night after night.......the highlight so far this week was Ant's date with BB and I use the word "highlight" with heavy irony. It has gone totally tits up this year and I think it is now beyond being saved..

I think they should just do something totally off the wall to completely throw the housemates.

I remember when there were rumours of Keith Chegwin going into BB3 I think... how about sending in some random 80s C list celeb...

I'm sure given the opportunity I could come up with some ideas for the HM. I agree that a Groundhog Day would be very funny to watch - make the HM think that their doing the same day over and over again - maybe pick a day with nominations and then when the HM wake up - make them nominate every day - imagine how they would react to that!

Vote for a Groundhog Day in BB"!!!!!

Ratings are down this year.
On the same tuesday last year BB got 6.2 Million.
Tuesday this year(yesterday) got 4.2 million.
The pattern is repeated for other days as well.

We already have a Groundday day every day...

I think the forum already is the same as the show... every day when I check on the forum - there's the same inane posts 'Derek is scheming, Kemal is not gay, Sciene is a genius,' ZZZZZ

At the end of the day - the main problem with this BB is that no-one can warm to any of the HM. I remember during BB3 how much I used to love tuning in to see the daily exploits of Brian, Helen, Paul etc and laughing as it was like seeing my friends again.

This current BB is just like watching a bunch of people you find truly annoying do the same bitching over and over again.

The reason Antony looks like winning is because that he's not as nasty as the others - mainly cos he doesn't have the brain capacity.

Eugene is quite sweet - but it wouldn't take much of a person to come accross better than Kemal, Mankosi and Drick... and dont get me started on Maxwell and Saskia.

I think for BB to truly be interesting and watchable it needs a mix of likeable and unlikable characters - because now we're 8/9 weeks in - we all realise that we dont really care about who wins now....

The forum is bound to reflect the show. If that's "same old, same old" people will only have the same things to comment on. Many people enjoy the banter/discussion on here but there is a limit to what can be up for discussion because the HM's aren't doing/saying anything new.

It's like watching a film on TV where you don' t care what happens to any of the characters - you lose interest and switch over. I feel the same about this year's BB. At least there was some genuine interaction between the HMs last year - this year it is far too contrived and they are all too self aware. It is a formula that has run out of steam. I don't think I can manage another three weeks of this tedium.

3 more weeks... that sounds like an eternity..

the worst thing is that i still have to watch it in the evening - hoping and wishing something happens or someone does something that sparks my interest. i'm waiting for eugene to really shine... not happened.. waiting for antony to show he's got it in him to be a winner - not happened. waiting for kemal or derek to stop that annyoing whispering... not happening.
