As bad as the hms
Ms M
20-07-2005
This is my first post and i have to say, reading some of the posts on this forum it's just as bad as the bb house. with all the bullying and bitchiness i have been reading.
I can't believe the hatred given to people for not agreeing with posts or liking the same hms as others.

I think all the hms portray how bad all of Uk society is today.

Sorry rant over now just had to say something

Good first post, welcome to the mad house.

Welcome to the forum.

Not everyone is unfriendly.

I hope it won't put you off.

Welcome, I don't think I am unfriendly, well maybe to some of the HMs.

I blame the parents, and the teachers, and television. I would blame PMT too but that never goes down well.

It is odd that you find it strange, as far as I can tell society has always been like this, it's just easier to see know as it's shown on television.

Welcome. You are absolutely right about some of the responses FMs get on here, on the other hand it is sometimes brought on themselves by not slightly moderating what they say to be reasonable as opposed to a rant.

I wish FMs would say 'I don't like' rather than 'I hate' or 'so and so is devious' rather than 'evil'. On the BBC have your say pages the London suicide bombers are more leniently described than the HMs on DS!

What is a little alarming is that many FMs seem to mean exactly what they say when they use words like "hate" or"evil". Too many of them seem to lose sight of the fact that Big Brother is just a silly television programme.

It's a cliché to say that some FMs need to get out more, but maybe they do.

Incidentally, I posted this story the other day:

Quote:
“Streaming Big Brother bad for brain

Finally, the confirmation we all needed: watching Big Brother live on TV or online is bad for you.

Glasgow Caledonian University researchers tested viewers who tuned in to Big Brother for just a total of six hours - two hours a day spread over three days.

They found alarming side effects in their mental health, including increased levels of anxiety, depression and hostility.

But when the same people were asked to watch bland daytime TV instead they reported virtually no ill effects (aside from boredom and an odd desire to make-over their house, obviously).

The researchers specialising in television-related research, were commissioned to carry out the study by the Mail on Sunday newspaper.”

Original source here...

At the time I thought the story was a bit daft, but maybe it's not so far from the truth!

Welcome to the forum. Just don't post anything Anti-Science and you'll be fine.

Seriously, don't take things on here to heart. It's only a forum... it just seems to be filled with a lot of self-righteous people at the moment. Compromise and accepting other people's opinions are two life lessons that most people here missed out on.

Just smile and remember where the little red X is at the top of your screen!

That's the best advice, I think. It's dangerous to get hooked on DS:BB! It could ruin your life!
