You find that some intelligent people are lacking in practical skills and common sense - I think Eugene suffers!!

Eugene worries when he feels he has let people down. This is probably rooted because I shout at him when he forgets he is supposed to be seeing me and arranges something else!

He just doesn't like to fail others, nothing wrong with that!

Better than the "f**k you all" attitude of some of the others on the tasks

He failed the juggling task too.

But that's alright, it's his blaming Science for failing this week's task that annoyed me.

My other half tried to cut our hedge and in half an hour cut through both the cable and our tv ariel yet he teaches people how to fly!
Lots of intelligient folk are useless at practical tasks but I think with Eugene it's more than that.
I feel most uncomfortable watching him.

im on about eugege and not others.
i just find it pethetic that in the duck task, which is not demanding at all, he just stood there like a lemon

I couldn't have passed the juggling task myself. It requires skills that neither I nor Eugene have, therefore I'd have failed before I had started.

However, if they had a task where you had to build an elastic band car, Eugene would be in his element!

He certainly had a nerve when he was useless in the duck task and dropped his balls

He proceeded to try to repair the cable while live and blew a hole in my best kitchen knife.
I still don't know how he survived.
Have him well insured though

I don't understand what you mean?

My point was that the passing of a task like juggling is not based on the cognative skills of the participants, but it is judged on the visual and physical skills of the participants.

Because Eugene has a visual disability due to an accident he had, his hand eye co ordination isn't very good.

My point wasn't a defence of Eugene, it was a statement that different people have different skills and abilities.

I know lots of people with Engineering degrees who can't think on their own.

Those maths exams are so easy to pass when you have no mind.

LOL. Your two posts have had me in stitches. The kitchen knife bit is hilarious. My man gave himself quite a bad shock last week doing a bit of DIY and touched it again just to check... and got another shock!

Actually, my brother's a pilot and his hedge trimmer and electric lawnmower cables are a standing joke in our family. Isn't that odd? (and a bit scary)
