This Years BigBro a Let Down?
Supernova

I can't seem to get into this years Big Brother as much as the previous two.

I've been watching it quite alot but I just feel there's something missing. The choice of contestants in the previous two installments were IMHO excellent. This year, however, C4(or who-ever) have put a slighty younger/glamerous bunch in. The rest of them don't seem to be people you would meet in normal walks of life. It's almost(dare I say it) a Freak Show.

All this on-top of C4 trying trying to get money out of us at every given chance all leaves a bad taste in the mouth really.

I hope it gets better, but to be honest, nothing could really happen now that would spark a great deal of interest like the previous two. I hope C4(robbing b@stards) learn their lesson for next year.

I could be giving them too much credit here for foresight, but here goes. I think they've picked a bunch of people who could potentially be very good entertainment if/when they are split up. If they have been thinking of what would happen when conflict is introduced then in a couple of weeks time we might be cheering them on.

I dunno, I'm hooked as before, and quite enjoying it actually. The problem with the more 'mature' members of the house is that the younger ones have kinda drowned them out a bit. It's starting to get more interesting now listening to the bitching

I think they were too comfortable until last night came about, lets wait and see what happens tonight...

As for the money issue, I'm not paying for the live feeds and as long as they inform us before charging us for something I don't mind. It's our choice whether to pay for something or not isn't it

totally opposite for me

In my opinion so far, this Big Brother has been amazing viewing. In the previous two, nothing much happened for the first 2 weeks.

However in this one we've had the rumours of the split house, lots of fancying, someone walked, a suprise eviction, lots of bitching and fun.

I think im hooked

I couldn't agree more. I've been looking forward to BB3, couldn't wait for it to start, but... it's been a letdown from the start. I've been trying to give them all the benefit of the doubt, waiting to get to know them, but there's no spark -- no excitement.

Every time I log onto to a BB web site that has a popularity poll where you have to pick your favorite, I'm at a loss. Sit staring at the names, but there's not one I'd choose.

In a nutshell: no one to love, but even worse, no one to hate. All dull wannabes without any charm or charisma.

I'm still watching...hoping it will get better.

It's only a week old, I though BB2 was boring at the same stage, you just got to give it time before it livens up more

I agree about this....I think we just remember the lively bits from the last series and this one has just started. Haven't quite got into it myself yet.

I have to say I'm even more addicted to BB3 than I was to BB1, 2 and celebrity. Been watching it 'till 4am every day! I think they are overall, a much better bunch than the previously.

As for Channel 4, they are a commercial broadcaster, there to make a PROFIT. You don't have to pay for any of their extra services, just like you don't have to pay for pay-TV, and who can blame them for wanting to make the greatest amount of profit they can? I say well done to them for seizing the opportunity to make money. I think the E4 coverage on the whole is excellent, as is BBLB. Hope the psychologist shows do happen, they're meant to be on Sundays but last Sunday it was just a regular highlights show.

err.... no. Channel 4 is a public corporation like the BBC, but it is funded commerically instead of by the licence fee.

There are two many people in the house at moment to get to known them. When we get rid of a few more..then we will be talking.

Yep, you're right, but their objective is still to make as much profit as possible, allowing for their public service responsibilities like the BBC.

I think this is the best BB yet, I'm totally hooked, so much has happened so far this year, it's definitely more exciting.
