Big Brother bosses say Sunita's replacement in the house will be a 24-year-old recruitment consultant called Sophie.

The 5ft 10ins kick-boxing enthusiast was chosen from a group of 12 hopefuls on standby.

The new housemate will enter the house on Big Brother's Little Brother at 1.30pm live on Channel 4.

They say she's been in hiding for the last three days and doesn't know anything about recent events in the house.

Sophie, who lists "talking to her friends" as what she will miss most, will surprise the housemates when she arrives with a gift for them.

She said she would "give back to my Mum what she gave to me" if she were to win Big Brother but will miss her cooking least of all.

Sophie from Buckinghamshire will be exempt from the next eviction and will not be able to nominate or be nominated in the first week.

The Sunday Mirror quotes a Big Brother source as saying: "Sophie is absolutely stunning. She'll cause a massive stir in the house because of the way she looks and her personality. She's really bubbly and full of self-confidence, although you never know if that will be a good or bad thing for her."

The housemates won't get any warning about the new arrival.
