I agree with you about Derek. He is a complex character, and like most people is neither all bad nor all good. He is playing a game in there and is a very complex character.
Science, although very entertaining to watch (which is why he should have stayed over orla) must have been a nightmare to live with.

I also don't like the way he seems to be ganging up on all the girls in the house. It's obvious his next target will be the 2 women.

Yeah, I liked Derek to begin with, but his constant character assasination is really getting to me. Science, Orlaith and now he's after makosi. He should be shot down.
I just realised that the peopel I hate in this house are the three gay folk. According to Kemal, I'd be homophobic. Was absolutely disgusted with the way he spoke to science that night, trying to make him say that he's homophobic.

Im sorry but the despicable RACIST things he has said about Science far outweighs any good things he might say about him now he has succeeded in getting rid of him.
How DARE he talk about sensitivity towards Science
The only thing this proves is that he now has Orlaith next in his sights.
I really expected Derek to gloat more when Science went, but it was Eugene and Craig that seemed to me to be smug about it. I think Derek would like to have made a breakthrough with Science I hope outside they can make it up.

I noticed too those three people. But then I realised that they are just the worst people in GENERAL in that house.
I heard no kind words...just the usual sanctimonious drivel. Derek may be able to manipulate HMs, FMs and viewers alike but I will always see the treacherous slime-ball for what he is.

Its funny you should say that I spoke to a black collegue at work today, he did not think Derek had been a racist towards Science, he also liked Derek above Science and thought Science had to go.

That's my feeling too. Those three have given gay guys a bad name.
If Derek said anything nice about Science (which is doubtful) he said it for one reason only: tactics. He heard the reception Science got, and he doesn't want a backlash from the Science fans when he is next up. The man is so transparent.

Agreed - he is a complex character - however, I think some of the most endeering moments in the house so far have been when Derek has given both Science (when Science wanted to be the Narrator) and Craig (Craig's tif with Ant) some heartfelt "wise" advice - there was an air of quality and progress about those moments.

Exactly. What Derek is doing is damage limitation for himself and discrediting or Orlaith.
We shouldn't judge people on the last "nice" (or nasty)thing they said, but on all the information we have on them and their actions over a period of time.
That tells you more about who someone really is.
