Its funny you should say that, being a Derek fan and all.

Think this probably gives you a better view of how the black community feel towards Derek:

That is so clear. I mean look at the man's politics!

It was only one black guys opinion, I was interested in his views mainly because of some of the posts on here, as I have said before everybody has their own opinion and has a right to it.

Yeah, but Orlaith has been bragging how she knew she would stay all the time that is a bit much really.

Orlaith also nominated Derek but that does not take away from the point that I am making about Derek and why I disagree with the OP take on it. Derek is drawing attention to Orlaith's behaviour for a reason imo. I don't think for one minute Derek was thinking of Science - he has his own agenda. Science is out and I feel fairly confident that this week, he will drop lots of comments about Orlaith. He will notice her faults and comment on them but will ignore any faults of HMs who are not on his hit list.

He well might do Candice but how do you not know that at the same time Orlaith might be calling Derek a horrible old man ( as she has done ) and much more, its a game, they all do it.

Yes, this is where I don't feel it is personal more unable to co-exist. Derek did have a soft spot for Science I feel.

I know that but this thread is about Derek having a nice word to say... I am disagreeing with this and giving my reasons why. I believe that Orlaith is on to Derek. I believe that Orlaith and all the others are playing a game. I prefer some people's game playing more than others and Derek is a nasty player. He does not care one iota about Science imo. He has simply seized on an insensitive comment made by Orlaith to suit his own agenda.

Laud became a researcher working for Conservative Members of Parliament in the mid-1980s. He fought for a seat on Wandsworth council's Graveney ward in May 1986, but won only 937 votes. He gained some notoriety as the only black member of the Monday Club, which supported repatriation of immigrants and the apartheid regime in South Africa. Fellow members of the Monday Club nicknamed him "Golly", for gollywog, a nickname Laud continues to use.

During his career, Laud has written speeches for several well-known Conservatives including Margaret Thatcher, Michael Heseltine and Alan Clark. Moving on from Westminster, he was employed in the City of London in equity finance. He established a lobbying company Ludgate Laud in the early 1990s. As a parliamentary lobbyist he came to prominence during the cash for questions and 'cash for knighthoods' rows when he was investigated by Scotland Yard [1].

For the 1997 General Election, Laud was selected as Conservative candidate for the seat of Tottenham, but stepped down shortly before the election citing "business reasons". There was press speculation that this referred to Laud's drink-driving conviction in the US [2].

In 2001 he provided an alibi for his friends Neil and Christine Hamilton in their sexual assault case.

Laud had long been an enthusiastic fox hunter and in 1999 he became the first black Master of Foxhounds for the New Forest Hunt. His hunting activity was the subject of an anecdote told by Aldershot MP Gerald Howarth in March 2005. Describing Laud as "as black as the Ace of Spades", Howarth said that hunt saboteurs had challenged Laud claiming that 100 years ago, the ancestors of the other huntsman would have been hunting him, and Laud had responded by saying "100 years ago my ancestors would have been eating you."

Sorry to disagree mate, but Derek is honest if he does not like someone he makes it known. Science got cheered last week, and as far as i can see the only person to change was Makosi. Derek stood up for what he believed.we the public can not make people like each other, so if they do not like each other they are going to bitch.People say Anthony is boring, why is that.Is it because he avoids confrontation, and tries to be everybodies friend. If there were 13 Anthony's in the house how boring would that be.

yes if you watched the live feed it Science did NOT say to craig "shut your GAY mouth", it was a complete lie. I cannot stand evil manipulative Derek. I used to work with a guy who was like him - I watched him push 6 people out of our company systematically killed them off . This bloke i worked with was a manager but not the manager of the people he ensured were booted out the company. it was evil work place bullying and what Derek is doing is just the same. It makes me sick that he's been allowed to do it. davina may say oh its just a pantomime but what he did to science by alienating him and getting others not to talk to him was evil (they did not as davina asserts decide on their own not to talk to science - hence makosi's row with Derek and why Derek angry with her for not doing as he says like he is the owner of the house).

No way did he have 'a soft spot for Science'. He just heard the brilliant reception Science got when he left the house. I wouldn't be suprised if he started bigging Science up now (to try & get the 'Black votes'). The man is VILE!

I am not surprised that he is not gloating. He is not going to make himself look childish. I see it as a business like approach. I can just picture him dusting his hands together and thinking job done - who's next.

You forgot to mention all that other stuff Mr Laud was involved in. Cash for questions, cash for knighthoods, cash for rentboys, people around him involved in the Clywd child abuse scandals suddenly dying for no real reason, being a drunk driver in the US and injuring a family of five who sued for $5.5 million. The guy is notorious and I am amazed he was selected by Endemol. The headlines in the News of the World when he is evicted are going to be dynamite.

Just google Derek Laud and you'll find out all the stuff he was up to before BB. He is a nasty little man...

This is a man used to manipulation and spin - he is from that sort of world. However spin only works when it is done behind closed doors, not when it is broadcast to the viewing public nearly 24 hours a day. It tends to lose a bit of its power when you can see it laid bare.

So what please do not make out its all Derek. Makosi, Orlaith,Kemal,Craig, all have been doing the same. They are all game players. Orlaith crying this morning saying she was frightened of 2 housemates. Makosi crying last week. They want to win the money what do you think they should do. The format of bb is to create mistrust among hm's.

Big Brother is Derek's last gasp - he has shown himself to be vicious and pathalogically bitchy, - neither the enertainment industry nor the world of politics should touch this creepoid.
