Perhaps you did not see my post #36 in which I, of my own volition, said that they are all playing a game. Perhaps you should read more carefully before accusing me of making out that Derek is the only player. Also, the subject of this thread is Derek and his kind words.... not about who are the other game players. I mentioned this (post #36) however, simply because a poster questioned me about Orlaith.

I think this is what he meant to say

Derek on Science - 148k

Derek on Orlaith's charm(s) - 70k

I did read your post. You stated that Derek was reacting to the cheers Science got. My point was that Science got cheers last week, Derek was not nice about science then. However Makosi did change her views.

Please point me to the post # in which I stated that "Derek was reacting to the cheers Science got".

I never said anything about cheers I think you are confusing my post with someone elses. My point in this thread has been about Derek not having a kind word for Science but rather he is now targeting Orlaith and that I believe him to be disingenuious. Nothing to do with cheers. I can't believe that instead of going back and checking all of my posts, you now come out with yet another misleading statement and yet you state that you have read my post(s).

Now that is the kind of ill educated crap that people post on boards, without a thought, that really sacks me off.
FYI I have a huge scar running through my head from an occasion when I was younger & I had the living sh*te kicked out of me for being a 'wigga' by our jackbooted friends.
So I would think twice before posting ignorant crap like that about people you have no knowledge of.

Back on thread, there is absolutely nothing that Derek could say or do at this stage that would make me hate, despise and detest him less.

Fellow members of the Monday Club nicknamed him "Golly", for gollywog, a nickname Laud continues to use.

During his career, Laud has written speeches for several well-known Conservatives including Margaret Thatcher, Michael Heseltine and Alan Clark. Moving on from Westminster, he was employed in the City of London in equity finance. He established a lobbying company Ludgate Laud in the early 1990s. As a parliamentary lobbyist he came to prominence during the cash for questions and 'cash for knighthoods' rows when he was investigated by Scotland Yard [1].

For the 1997 General Election, Laud was selected as Conservative candidate for the seat of Tottenham, but stepped down shortly before the election citing "business reasons". There was press speculation that this referred to Laud's drink-driving conviction in the US [2].

In 2001 he provided an alibi for his friends Neil and Christine Hamilton in their sexual assault case.

Laud had long been an enthusiastic fox hunter and in 1999 he became the first black Master of Foxhounds for the New Forest Hunt. His hunting activity was the subject of an anecdote told by Aldershot MP Gerald Howarth in March 2005. Describing Laud as "as black as the Ace of Spades", Howarth said that hunt saboteurs had challenged Laud claiming that 100 years ago, the ancestors of the other huntsman would have been hunting him, and Laud had responded by saying "100 years ago my ancestors would have been eating you."
