I've seen several replies on threads and comments from the HM that Derek is too old for BB.

Is 41 too old for BB? If so what should be the age limit and why.

Also what other restrictions would you put on the selection of HM's.

I think it would have been interesting to have a wider range of ages instead of loads of under 25's and 2 over.

What do you think?

The British people are obsessed with age and weight something we all used to laugh at the Hollywood set for

I would like 3 in their 20's 30's 40's and 50's, I think that would make an excellent show and would not be surprised if the older ones lasted longer.

I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments. If there'd been a couple more 'mature' contestants, instead of some of the children in this years house, it would be a much more exillerating experience for us all.

Take the awful Kamal, for example. Sucking his fist/thumb at every opportunity. Oh, please! Whoever selected this bunch of misfits, for this series, wants SACKING.

I think with just 2 over 30's in there it leaves them exposed.

Don't know whether it's they don't turn up to the auditions or if it's Endemols preference.

If there was a larger group they wouldn't get picked off by the younger contestants as easily.

Suprised that Derek has survived so long, he is playing the game!

The more entertaining on Celeb BB were the older contestants, like Bez, GG and JM, even Brackie .

But I'm not sure if Endemol would take that risk.

That's my thoughts anyway.

Look at Germaine Greer, Jackie Stallone and John McCrirrick - if a HM is entertaining, their age and looks become of lesser significance.

I wonder if the producers have steered clear of older BB contestants because Sandy was such a miserable sod?

I'd put a minimum age limit on of 25: If I wanted to watch a playground I'd go to my local park.

Earlier today saw a TV trailer featuring Alison Hammond, who is probably BB's most curvatious HM. She was a star who got voted out too early IMO. She seems to be doing well

And what ever negative points you have about Derek or Roberto they both spoke a lot of sense. They certainly pulled their weight around the house and offered a different perspective. Between them they have done the most to pull the team together, which has been sadly lacking this year. i.e cooking and making up games in the evening.

It's be great to see a few real old timers in there, wouldn't it? I'd love it!

BB do not want maturity - and many of the posters on the C4 site would be horrified if the HMs managed a day without a vicious slanging match - anybody who doesn't fight is 'boring' it appears. Little do such people realise the corrosive effect such an attitude has. More morons with the attention span of a guppy vote than the telephone bill-payers. what BB forget is that we mature ones used to vote - I have cast 1 vote this series (possibly). some series I voted almost every week. if BB put people worth voting for in the house, we'd vote.

the immature HMs can be boring to watch when their bitchy hissy-fits are the same day after day.
