All the surviving doctors have aged except PM. PLEASE DONT LET McCOY BACK ON OUR SCREENS! To see the PM to CE regeneration would be a great scene and I feel this scene is needed to fill a hole in DrWho history.
Not sure about the DT outfit I think the long coat thing wasnt missed in the last series.

Have to say, i really liked McCoy in the TV movie. Much more than on the BBC series. Think the aging worked for him.

Peter Davison still looks a lot like he used to, and perhaps a multi-doctor story (with the Doctor's having aged in reality) could use the aging-factor as the plot or a problem that needs sorting!

I should Clarrify that the Flashbacks I mentioned early briefly are alledgedly not like a flash back episode but used to illustrate the Doctors Passed origins, and used in respect of the 3 follow on stories.

If these ramblings are true it would be intresting, I'm also convinced on the possibility of two different Cybermen factions, it would be new for the Cybermen.


In respect of others views on the bringing back of an old Doctor I agree one of the newer ones is likely, although Tom Baker seems very intrested in returning in every interview he makes.

I wonder though, would CE be more likely, I state this because something has been on my mind for months. If RTD planned to do thewhole CE to DT thing right from the word go, why would CE need to return to shoot extra scenes, maybe they were for future use.

All these mysteries no doubt we'll be waiting 7 months for the answers, and then some probably wont be answered!

This was my first thought too, but I think it would be great if he went on to create the Cyber-race. I'd love them to do a 'Genesis' type story for the cybermen.

I think that David Tennant looks very 1930s. A great hark back to the costumes of the first three doctors and a contrast to the modern casual style of Christopher Eccleston's incarnation.

I agree entirely, and I for one am a 'long coat' fan - great to see it back!! They went for the modern look in Series 1 to get the show back on our screens without alienating a new generation of fans. Now that's been acheived they have clearly tried to mix the modern (trainers!) with the classic ('30's suit and trenchcoat) I've a feeling DT has the makings of a classic Doctor, and already hope he'll be around for a long time to come...

Intresting too is the fact that to me DT in images on OG appears to be having problems (imo) with what could be his regeneration, as did PD. The chap shooting his mouth off that started this whole thread mentioned a few things, a doctor from the past returning, and flash backs to previous stories from past doctors. I wonder if this could be flashbacks to PD's regeneration.

RTD also stated he did not want to focus too much on the past of Doctor who, but that he would in future series. Maybe series 2 will see bonds to previous series.

John Barrowman has confirmed that he will be in series 2 - just not at the beginning.

Thanks for this news - its really made my day (I'm easily pleased).

I did have a theory about the two years worth of his memories that were erased (I'm assuming that will form part of his storyline for this season - revaling what happened).

I did wonder if it turns out that the Doctor and Rose meet a younger version of Jack and have lots of adventures with him, and then have to erase his memories so he doesn't recognise them when he meets them again in London durng WWII.

I do like the fact that we've only had one series, and there are all ready new, established supporting characters who are returning.

In The Five Doctors, PT's hair was greying, and JP's hair was a big white bouffant thing, even Bessie had to have a nose job! In the CB story The Two Doctors PT had totally grey hair. Tom Baker was the only one that looked the same but only because they used footage from Shada.

The point I'm making is that its never stopped them before.

The fact that the actors have aged has never really been an important factor, its a real-world aspect that the audience accepts. What is important is that the actor is reprising his Doctor in the programme (and usually bickering with his other incarnations ).

Fingers crossed for a two or more Doctor story.

I reckon they could get away with doing a whole "time-war" multi-doctor special, it may be a bit early though for eccleston to return, id leave it till the 2006 christmas special at the earliest if I was to do it though, get the public used to David Tennant before bringing back Eccleston.

Interesting stuff appearing on the web about Elisabeth Sladen's appearance in Series 2 being cut down to just 'a couple of scenes' where she is, apparently, in an asylum.

Do keep in mind how good RTD and his crew were last series of putting out false stories about Bad Wolf etc. Especially since I suggested the asylum scenario myself on this forum only a few weeks ago as a way to bring Sarah Jane Smith back (along with a few other ideas too).

The rumours are also talking about a new shape-shifting, CGI K9 – also mentioned quite a few times on this forum. It could be the rumours are true – but it does look like someone is just picking ideas off this forum and spreading them as inside-knowledge.

I’m hoping as far as Sarah Jane is concerned they are wrong (I want an episode full of Sarah Jane!).
