Nooo... really 'suits' him. Sorry...

Love the look. I'm glad they changed it from the leather jacket. Loved it on Chris, but I couldn't see it working on David. Very cool... I'm all excited for the new series now!

In love with the coat and suit, not so sure about the white trainers, but generally, loving the look

It's geek chic, innit? Plus, the kids love a pair of white Chuck Taylors, with the appropriate amount of scuffing on them.

I quite like the suit with the coat. It's also a good change from CE's leather jacket. Although the coat might not be entirely practical when he's being chased by baddies...

Like it. Scruffy with a hint of smart.

It's ok I suppose - much preferred CEs casual look.

Jarvis Cocker meets Long Riders - but for some reason it works . La G may not be quite as impressed by lack of kilt, however

it's going to take some getting used to, but so does every new doctor.

Those white converse are the same as mine. This look is perfect, i love it. Not liking Billie's jacket, though.

Touch of the spiv about it give him a pair of spats, a trilby and a dodgy pencil tash and he'll be Walker from Dad's army

Still gotta say I like it though!

Ooh, DT looks great. He suits those colours - shades of the outfits worn by the character he played in a recent Foyle's War episode.

It is very old school Dr Who isn't it? Harking back to the past a bit.

Very Cool

Just got in from work where I spent inappropriate amount of time on phone to current Object of Affection. He lives a long way away, but the last time I saw him he was wearing a suit, scruffy T-shirt and white shell toe trainers.....
I come home to this.....
Can RTD read my mind, I'm getting scared
P.S. That's a thumbs-up for the look!!!! If I were male, it wouldn't just be thumbs!!

I think DT looks exactly how The Doctor SHOULD look. All that's missing is a hat !! Brilliant look. Can't wait for the new series........and the return of Sarah-Jane !

Let this be a lesson to you all:

If you're gonna show our new threads off, at least leave enough time to dress properly first and do up all the buttons on your jacket (Not a good start for a Time Lord ).

Gotta say, I like it (touch of previous Doctors, what with the long coat and all). beee says that the "coat might not be entirely practical when he's being chased by baddies". Never stopped Tom Baker running through Paris in City Of Death. Check out Ep4 of Logopolis, he does a bit of running in that as well, both times in his trademark Edwardian long coat.

Think about it, if he's being chased by Cybermen, he's wearing trainers and they're wearing Moonboots, who do you think is going to be running faster?

Actually, have you ever seen a Cyberman run?

No, neither have I
