i was struck with a brainwave....

many of the missing DW episodes still exist in audio format. i would love to see these animated! not in your bogstandard cartoon form, but something darker like sin city meets Manga. anybody else like the idea?

a dark, edgy, comic book style animated who. Yay or Nay

That would be a brilliant idea if the BBC were ever to run every story ever made from An Unearthly Child to the present day. An animated Who for the 108 missing episodes would help to fill in the gaps created.

This is brilliant, seeing as they have most of the sripts for these episodes then the animation could be perfect.

New animation with original voices would be fantastic. I assume the BBC has the copyright on using Hartnall/Troughton/and Pertwee images?

Ouch! I knew someone would find a problem somewhere.

I think the BBC would have to enter into discussions with their estates about using their likenesses, also if any of the missing stories are Dalek stories, they'll have to go back to the Nation estate to discuss use of the Daleks.

No-one would want another Droids!

Might be worth cutting down the original audio to make things run a little more 'punchily', too. I've seen some reconstructions that drag quite a bit for having the entire soundtrack unedited!

There was actually a Dr Who cartoon mooted at one time. It would have been a travesty if it had happeded, check out the picture here!
