Well nothing has been confirmed about K-9 so anything they have reported is still conjecture.

OG ("Outpost-Gallifrey") is becoming sh*t and egotistical these days, with it's owner so far up his own ars* that he believe he's some kind of demi-God.

Even David Tennant has visited and been put off by the vile comments that site promotes. (No doubt comments posted by the owners' buddies just to provoke controversy. For heaven's sake, Tennant hadn't even been fitted up with his costume and OG had "fitted him up".

There are more DW sites out there, run by true fans and not an exploitational (read: commercial) fan (debateable?) that believes his own press. I certainly would not let my 12 year old Son loose on OG's vile forums.

The BBC should not promote OG on its corporate web pages. OG is not family-friendly.

To be fair, OG has a very large and busy forum and it must be very difficult to moderate. The users are entitled to voice their opinions about the programme and if someone doesn't think DT would make a good Doctor, they are entitled to say so - I bet DT doesn't take it seriously. After all if you look at how many people use the various forums and how many actually watch the show you will see that the forums only represent a tiny percentage of the audience.

Besides, your original posting isn't quite correct, Mr Editor. Wannamaker's website says that she's returning in S2 but it doesn't say anywhere that she'd playing Cassandra. It's a logical *assumption* but an assmuption still.

If you want to see what vicious bile really looks like, try Eye of Horus (and that's written by a Brit who pretends to be lots of different people).

I read that Zoe W's website confirmed she is back for series two - but I can't find the mention. It might be in the members’ only part.

What I've seen so far doesn't say she's necessarily back as Cassandra though - perhaps she'll be appearing in the flesh as a new character, or voicing a different alien.

If Cassandra is back it means either it was a 'dummy' Cassandra that died at the end of the episode, or the Doctor and Rose will meet an earlier version of her.

Either way, I really think it helps the show having genuinely respected, big name actors like Zoe and Simon Callow appearing as guest stars. It's like the old days, when having a 'Who' episode on your CV was pretty standard for a lot of top British actors.

It would be amazing if the producers managed to pull some strings (like they have with Extras) and get some top American stars too. Could you imagine getting Larry Hagman as a villain?

Don't forget that her brain was actually in a jar at the base of her frame, so she could easily have survived her face exploding.

I would say it's more likely than not that she's playing Cassandra. A BBC Wales interview on the filming showed the crew working on a set BBC Wales said was "a night club in the year 5 billion." I thought it was a mistake at the time, but that reference PLUS Wannamaker's return is a bit suggestive.

But as of yet, we just don't know.

I never noticed the brain at the bottom. I'll have to rewatch that episode.

I have never used the OG forums, but am aware of their evil reputation. Remember they were closed down for a couple of days when Chris Ecclescake quit?! Forums tend to get a bit heated (just look at the DS soap and BB forums!), in fact, I am amazed this sci-fi forum has remained so civil!

As for OG forum's 'evil' reputation. *shrugs* It's one of the busiest forums on the web. It's easy to moderate a relatively sparse forum but when you've got three to four hundred people posting *at a time* (as happens over there at peak times like, ooooh, 8:15 on a Spring Saturday night) it becomes much more difficult.

Besides I think the only reason there's *any* bitterness in that forum is because the group of naysayers is so SMALL. According to the polls over there, only 4% of posters genuinely don't like the new series. But because every time they post a thread about not liking it they get (naturally) 20 postser disagreeing with them for every poster that says they're right, they get frustrated and act like their civil rights are being taken away or something. And then the other 96% get frustrated because it feels like ever third thread is from someone complaining about the fact that nobody will agree with them that the new series is rubbish.

But that's not a forum problem, or an administration problem, that's a human nature problem. And there's not a lot anyone can do about that.

Yoou should check out Kasterborous.com in that case, which is even more like Doctor Who Magazine, but online.

And on the subject of forums, the Kasterborous forum is full of very nice chaps having a sensible chat about stuff Doctor Who related, much like here.
