What If! BB allowed
Roebuck

Just thinking out loud but .....

What if BB allowed nominated housemates a 30sec appeal from the diary room?

Ok there needs to be some rules.... so here goes

1. The nominated housemate is NOT informed of any of the grounds for their nomination

2. The nominated housemate CANNOT refer to any other housemate, whether they have been nominated or not.

3. Each nominee will have upto 30seconds for their appeal.

I have not mentioned what they can do, so if it is not covered in the above rules then its allowed.

What are your views to this train of thought ????

Really good idea, would they be shown on the screen in the main room? Just following on

I should have added that the normal BB rules apply, ie, messages to friends, relatives would not be permitted, even a statement of , I feeling rather happy! would not be permitted.
their statement is meant to provide a reason why they were nominated.

I think it would be even better if BB didn't reveal to the housemates who was up for nomination until the Live show starts on Friday nights.

Didn't they used to get asked why they thought they should stay? I seem to remember them getting asked, at least in the first year and pretty sure they did it last year too.

mromega - I was thinking they should say who's been nominated in the first Friday show then give them all their suitcases and make them all pack so they could just walk out at 10 when they get told who got the most votes.

On a slightly more evil note they could also show them who nominated them before they left...

what if each housemate had to do his/her nominations, and THEN ALL give a maximum 1 minute statement why, if they were to be nominated, the viewers should not vote for them... lets listen to them telling us all why they should stay in. That would really concentrate their minds on what their real contribution has been in the house, and have us listen to their perception which from our viewpoint might be totally unreal!

Those were recorded before they entered the house on BB1 and on BB2 but this year they are reverting back to their audition tapes which does not really give any information.

Eh? I'm talking about when they used to make 'pleas' to the diary room about why they thought they should stay, usually as part of a 'how does it feel to be up for eviction' chat with Big Brother. I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing here

They do that now, how do you feel after the first nominations etc.
but that only allowed for bland statements like:-

I expected it
it was not much of a surprise
I am gutted
I did not think I offended anyone
etc.

I meant a formal appeal that would be shown during ad-break and such like
