Pioneer DEH1590R CD/Radio & Fiat Punto
Hi,
Don't know if this is the right place to put this? I was wondering if someone can give me some advice? I have recently bought an 04reg fiat punto that came with the standard cassette player installed, I wanted a basic cd player, and Argos are doing the Pioneer DEH1590R CD/Radio for £59 (£30 cheaper than it was originally). So I bought one. After trying it in at the weekend, and nothing happening when I pressed SRC (that's what the book says to use to turn it on). So i assumed the unit was faulty and took it back today, for another one. However the same thing is happening with the replacement unit. The connectors from the car and the one that came with the head unit fit together perfectly. But still when I press SRC (or any other button for that matter) it doesn't come on. I've put the original fiat cassette player back in and that is working perfectly fine. Any Ideas???????????? Do I need an adapter or something????? Cheers Andy. |

Hi, I managed to get this working by attaching the red lead to the
spare yellow lead From what i've read on http://www.easyforums.co.uk/PUNTO, the Punto Mark 2 is fine and will work straight out of the box. However with the Punto Mark 2b Fiat have messed with their iso cable and you have to do this to get it to work....bizzare! Andy |
