This is abuse in its worst form, and if viewers really support this type of behavior from one our national TV services, then we are in real trouble if this is what we call entertainment.
”

You've all gone soft! I really think you are underestimating the general publics mass desire to see people suffer.

If you think back, before the human race became all PC, our standard entertainment was much more brutal and savage. Think about the crowds that turned up for a hanging, bear baiting or cock fighting. Think about traveling freak shows, and even further back the spectacle of the Roman Coleseum.

We are essentially the same human race as these people. You may believe you're different, more enlightened, but underneath those same desires exist.

It's no suprise that Reality TV shows tend to focus on hardship and conflict (Think about America with Survivor and Fear Factor etc)

While these people in the BB house are the pretentious wannabes that they are, coupled with the fact that they entered of their own volition and are free to leave, I say torture them BB, stress them out and make them suffer for my entertainment!

I agree that it's probably not the smartest idea, and I don't agree with the problems they're trying to create. The house is at it's funniest (and for me, most entertaining) when they're all getting on, drinking and laughing, makes for some funny moments..

Right now, Kate's on the verge of leaving, Jade's on the verge of leaving and who knows how many others are about to crack... If Kate/Jade/others end up on the hell side tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if Dermot has his hands full with walkers on tomorrow afternoon's BBLB.

Hopefully, Alex and Sandy will be split up, as will Adele and Lee. Alex in with Spencer, Jonny, PJ and Lee in the hell side would be good, but I doubt Sandy will be much good. There could well be some walkers.

Do you think that we`ll see the heaven/hell divide on the c4 show ?. It will take a while to get the bars in the house and get the garden seperated. The HM`s could be stuck in the respective bedrooms for a while, till the house is sorted

All the Contestants from Series 1 and Series 2 can look back on their BigBrother Experience with fondness and goodtimes, that BigBrother instilled the house, I cannot see any of the remaining housemates being able to look back with as much fun and pleasantries, especially after tonight Heaven/Hell house is implemented.

I agree the housemates are wannabee's and have chose to enter the BigBrother House of their own violition, no one has forced them.

But how many of the 150,000 applicants would have applied if they knew that this type of atmosphere was going to be created intentionally by BigBrother, I think the whole of the BigBrother Production staff should be held to account ( legally ) for mental anguish that they are promoting.

I do not think there will be many housemates left soon, I think that, Alex, Lee, Kate & Jade will walk if they are in the Hell section. These so-called wannabee's did NOT sign up for this type of experience, the basis for their decision to enter the BigBrother house was from seeing Series 1 & 2, where the general atmosphere generated by BigBrother was one of fun with some real tasks that needed time and effort to complete successfully, not this poor excuse to build up ratings.

I just wish it was a proper split though where housemates cant see eachother as they will be chatting through the bars for lots of the day. If your gonna split the house do it properly dont just add the afterthought of some bars.

Will they be permitted to talk to each other? If they are it could get interesting as those in Hell start to blame those in Heaven for their plight. If as predicted a lot of housemates get fed up and walk now might be the time for a small bet on Sandy to win, 40-1, he'll just let it all wash over him and keep his head down which ever side he is on and end up on his own!

I agree C4 are only out to cause tension and therefore pull in the viewers, but calling it mental anguish is taking it to the extremes. Another way of looking at it, is to call it an experiment - to see how housemates will cope.

We never know - they might cope well and take it as a laugh.

I really don't want viewers to abandon Big Brother. If there is a negative reaction to the divide, the producers will be more careful next time.

As for people leaving, it's very easy to say they knew what they had coming and that they were warned. We have no idea what it's really like in there. Housemates should only leave if they are really certain they want to, like Sunita was...they should never do it as a whim at the heat of a hard time.

If I was in their place and was dumped in the Hell side tonight, I think I would not only walk but go out with a bang by starting to smash things up.
I think an image of me smashing the bars then the windows etc then being dragged out by security would be quite a good way to show how I felt in that situation

They may say they could sue but really what would BB get from this? I doubt any of those in the house has much money, they are only getting £30 a day (so that's £450 to date) to relieve them of.
Basically BB is getting an absolute bargain. They get these people for 9 weeks and the only thing those inside get is the experience during that time. Unless they are total morons they know they'll not get anything out of being on BB on the outside. By BB2 the idea of getting fame/money etc had nearly totally gone and with Brian and Helen becoming public jokes to get what they have done from it it goes to show you have to have odd reasons to go on!

I really think, you should take a step back, and really consider the implications of the above statement, the programs mentioned are in some minor ways similar, in that contestants chose to appear, and will be prepared for the difficulties that they may face, they have a reasonable knowledge that the hardships will be extreme, the past history of bigBrother does not give the contestants any forewarning of the stress and hardships that BB3 is imposing, this is a question of being physically & mentally prepared for the ordeal, the housemates have not been given any idea..

Well, there'd clearly be enough evidence on tape to have you prosecuted for criminal damage, as so you should for being a thck violent vandalising thug. And no, I really don't think it would be in the least amusing or entertaining. Now I'm sure you were only joking and would never dream of trashing other ppls property just for fun and to make a pointless statement because they are volunteers, not conscripts, and were all advised of the worse possible scenarios and outcomes from the BB experience before they went in, and they still signed on the dotted line.

There's the 3 strikes and your out system this year isn't there, so probabally everytime you try to communicate with the other side or you try to get over the other side youget a strike. Communicate or jump over 3 times, bye-bye!

The reaction will certainly be interesting to see and how they cope with it all. In the end it is only a game but people will get stressed etc over it no doubt so could cause some trouble and some walkers. Meaning new contestants will enter spicing it up even more, although it could be cruel, but i think all the contestants will be up for it.

Im looking forward to the late night live episode after 11 tonite. By then they would have more or less calmed down and got used to the idea but im sure it will be hard at first. Does anyone know how peeps are gonna get into the diary room? There must be a passage. Are there secret rooms as well? or is it just the same?

again, there is another door in the diary room. Big rectangle thing blockig the door, which goes out to the heaven side.

I'm really not too sure how much extreme mental cruelty is involved in what the 'Hell' side will offer. Fresh vegetables, basic foodstuffs, clean water, a latrine, an indoor dry bed and a cooking fire. That sounds like an adventure holiday, not torture. What about the mental excercise the Hell side will get in order to maintain a reasonable standard of life? That seems better than being bored trying to fill the hours by drinking booze all day.

If the housemates didn't go into BB3 'expecting the unexpected' and able to cope with basic living conditions, then they are welcome to walk as they shouldn't be there in the first place.

If Sandy is on the hell side, I hope his army survival training does him proud and he can then add a positive influence to his group.

Sandy won the Frisby games in the house,
if he get's a shot, then i recon he'l be in the 'Heaven' side (with his pool)

are you lot silly?

Kids on girl guide camp have it far tougher.

they are hardly being made to balance on a log for 30 hours or whatever it was.

Hmm , VERY interesting thought. I am certain that someone will leave, the thought of more than one taking a walk is very exciting. Just imagine, 2 more new people to mix things up.

The next day is totally critical.

Ah the basketball-my very first sighting of the lovely Katie Louise.
Although I did not realise what a lovely person she was at the time.
I remember she got told off for her lager kiss and had to send 8 cans back as a fine. But I dont think this would have been a strike.
I think she was attracted to him-who wouldnt be -but it was his fault for being too cool for too long-when he woke up and wanted her it was too late.(Bad Timing)
