Alex finds a loop-hole?
Daubo
09-06-2002
On BB Live (E4) Alex re-reads the rules and highlights a point to Sandy...

"Housemates are not allowed to send and receive items including food and drink between the bars."

Alex: It doesn't say anything about stealing, does it?!
Sandy: No!

So does this mean Alex will become a BB Robin Hood?

IMHO I think the Rich/Poor thing will be fun, but only for a week - those bars are going to **** me off soon.

Cant start a new thread, as im a newbie, but just wanted to ask if anyone else is of the same opinion. I think BB3 have made a huge cock up. The house split has come too soon if they intend to keep it that way. I believe there may be more than one walk out. Not only that, but the way they have made the tasks, is really pathetic. I know the housemates put themselves up to be guinea pigs, however to leave them to suffer this amount of boredom, and to split them into smaller groups so soon, just seems unfair. Yes its a game, but it seems like the idea this time is to, put the housemates under enormous psychological stress, simply to see how they will react. Yes im all for a bit of testing, but the boredom factor combined with all the changing will just create more and more bad feeling. Is watching BB3 this year about watching people go to pieces then?

And will someone please give Jonny a cigarette, poor sod, today is going to be a nightmare probably more for him than any of the housemates.

Don't give him a cigarette - perhaps he'll walk!

I agree, Big Brother has made a big mistake having the split house for the rest of the series.
It will get more and more boring, the novelty will wear off within a week.

Jonny said he smokes about 10 a day outside, but he has been chain smoking his rations inside, and I think he even started smoking Spencers baccy - so serves him right not to have been more careful - no sympathies from me there!

Alex finding a loophole? All BB has to do is make it a new rule that u cannot steal! They know what the spirit of the split is all about. It's gonna be hard in hell just as BB said it would be. I am just surprised how unappreciative the heaven crew are. I even heard Sophie having a moan about the chore of making a shopping list... they aren't busy doing anything else!

But I would ask BB to PLEASE give them something at least mentally stimulating to do between now and next saturday - the boredom in the house is translating into boredom for viewers.

I miss the weekly tasks which kept the housemates more stimulated

Like the dog they had to train to do tricks - that was a good one.

when spencer read out the long instructions after they were let out I remember him reading that intentional or not, anything passed to the other side would be confiscated.

Also any smokers are ****ed, as Spencer also read out that at the end of the week everything left over from the £400 shopping has to be rtn'd to the store room. So there will be no chance of HMs stashing drink or fags in the pockets or little bags for the next week. Only fags/drink they brought in with them can be taken with a HM.

Who all smokes? Johnny, Spencer, PJ, Jade ? I think at least one smoker will walk in the next couple of weeks.......

They aren't allowed to pass things through to each other, and they can fit their heads and arms through the bars.....soooooo couldn't they just put their head and arms through and eat and drink the stuff from the opposite side? Nothing is being passed over the bars!

Big brother would probably make the point that as the food passes into your stomach it passes through the bars and therefore breaks the rules. It is pointless looking for loopholes because big brother can change the rules at any time.

I vote to take the bars down after a week and put them up for another week nearer the end of the series. Make the tasks harder and ones that keep the housemates occupied all week.

When I first heard about the house split I was pumped for it, really excited about it happening. Up to about 11:50 last night I was loving it, wathing the thing being set up briefly on C4. Then my hopes of a brilliant series were shattered, and along with it my Big Brother watching experiance. When Adele said it would last the whole series I was pissed off. Sure a week would be fun, two weeks would be ok. but 7 weeks! thats gonna be a bore. The only good thing about this is Jade is on the hell side, lets cause her some pain for all the pain she has caused us.

R.I.P Big Brother

2000 - 8th June 2002.

You had a great life, till the producers ****ed you up.

You cannot judge heaven and hell until the end of the series when everything has panned out. BB has many more suprises ahead for the housemates, none of which anybody but BB knows about.

Two things; first, has anyone else noticed BigBrother turning down the sound, saying it is for legal reasons, a bit too often. Last night, Johnny started talking about what Channel 4 expects them to do, and magically half sentence he was switched off. Now I have my own theories about this, but first things first, am I imagining it.

Second and more important, what is to stop the housemates taking a vow of silence as protest (apart from their insatiable desires to show off!). It is not in the rules that they have to be active or speak, yet staying silent would force BB to do whatever they wanted, ie. take down those STUPID bars.

Alex did in fact get wrong this morning - for stealing gravy granules or a stock or summat, he was telling them this morning - it was left on the table (convienently) so he swiped it.... BB caught him...

Yeh, I think they have the official reasons we are given but probably a few others too. I think on a couple of occasions they have dipped the sound over a big brother announcements too which I find rather strange cause they aren''t going to be swearing during that.

As well as the dips in sound I would love to see ALL of what goes on in the diary room.

Thought I'd post this here as I can't start a new thread yet.

On the subject of Spencer running out of tobacco, what is to stop him putting his head through the bars and smoking one of Johnny's cigs (if he gets some tomorrow). Nothing would pass over the barrier as he would inhale and blow the smoke out.

Also are the live feeds nearly live now. Kate has just said it is 1am and looking at my clock it is 1.01am.

The same logic could be applied to eating a meal of having a drink? It would be worth a try to see how BB reacts. It maybe that its a loop-hole but will still go against the spirit of the rule.
