Foreign BB heaven and hell

How many countries have tried this, and did they use it for the whole series? Was it successful?

I think the novelty will wear off after 2-3 weeks.
I really dislike the idea that all the tasks are going to be 10-15 minute jobs. After watching both BB1 and 2 I definitely preferred the longer tasks, such as the fire task, calendar, excercise bike etc etc

Do you think C4 will change their minds about heaven/hell after a few weeks?

Yes. Or else they won't have any viewers left. The last couple of days have been extremely dull.

Oh stop whining! The live E4/Net stuff is for saddos, and the rest of the population to tune into if anything *interesting* happens.

The thing that matters is the C4 main shows, and there's plenty of action to the 20 minutes of footage each day.

I really can't believe anyone would complain that a watching BB live was too boring - how sad for anyone not to have anything better to do with their day.

Yes PJH,

you speak sense

How many folk picked up the 2-week trial? My guess is 200,000 at most...

Of that, how many do you think will be renewing it or sticking with it? 20,000 if they're lucky.

If you look at the highlights show then it's no more boring than the first 2 series. In fact, the Alex/Sandy stuff has made it slightly more interesting

I think it's cruel. I would cry all day if I was on the poor side. I would be furious if they ate chocolate, drank wine and lounged around while I was stuck outside with the farm animals.

I have felt such compassion for the 'poor' side, in their head scarves and winter coats. Whereas watching Sofa Sophie and Letchy Lee being all 'rich' has made me nauseous.

I only want to see the rich ones survive once in the poor house before they put them all back together again. I'd love to see Lee and Sophie cooking in the rain and trying to preen each other on hard stools. It would be hilarious to see Spencer and PJ pour glasses of wine and leave them by the bars. They would really get their own back.

It could all go wrong though and I'd be gutted if Sophie won again. I want to keep her in for one more week, just to see her on the poor side, feeling sorry for herself and eating her famous words of "I could so easily live in there, as it's only for 6 more weeks!".

So, just one more week of Heaven & Hell would be enough for me.

pjh - is passing comment on Big Brother in a Big Brother discussion forum for saddos as well?

Grow up. Let people watch what pleases them. They have as much right to gripe as you do. If you're content to watch the highlight shows, well and good, but don't be so arrogant as to pass judgement on others.

does revising for a-level exams count as something better to do?

I actually don't watch very much of the live E4 feeds, no more than half an hour a day, I was just commenting on the difference between this and the last series tasks (which, this year, are still going to be shorter and probably less exciting even in the highlights shows anyways) and wondering if heaven/hell had worked in other countries.

And remember, the 'highlights' shows this year seem to be more a 30 minute edit of how the producers want you to perceive different contestants.

Hmmm - let people watch what pleases them? And if it doesn't they should turn the thing off, instead of making out it's almost the end of the world, that a TV game show for 2 days hasn't been doing what they think it should!

Some people need to realise why they are merely commenting on a TV show while others are actually making it.

I actualy find all this 'I hate the bars' stuff totaly bogus. There is only one reason why people don't like the bars, but none will actualy speak it! - Can anyone guess?

They hate bars because they have bad memories of not getting served when they were 15?

The bars are ok short term but they detract from the 'reality' element of the 'reality tv' premise. The reason why the last big brothers have been much bigger than other shows is the focus on detail of relationships and social interaction, rather than artificial situations/coping strategies/ problem solving.

Totaly agree - If I was them I'd use them for 4 weeks to bring the group down from 10 to 6. At 6 housemates it seems a little pointless to keep them split.

Interestingly at 9 and 7 housemates remaining there is a different number on each side. Any insight or guesses into whether they'd go 5-4 on the rich or poor side or leave it up to the game mechanics?

Wow! Talk about over reaction. The question was posed about whether the bars would last or not and I expressed the view that they would not. I don't recall mentioning that it was the end of the world. I feel the last two days have been the dullest so far. There has been less interaction within the group, there have been no late nights (which produced much of the entertainment in the first 2 weeks), there have been no games. There has been a lot of sleeping and general moping about. In the first 2 weeks it must have been really difficult to know what to leave out of the highlights programme as there was so much material. I bet they don't have that problem now.

P.S. I can't guess why we really don't like the bars. As you obviously know our minds rather than our "bogus" reasons, please enlighten us.
