BigBrother3 has been a complete and utter shambles since day 1, The top producers involved should be told to find more suitable employment as their perception of what viewers want is warped beyond reason,

No one had ever WALKED from BigBrother UK previous to series 3, now we have 2 confirmed and another 2 considering walking Kate & Lee have both expressed a desire to leave the house.

Viewing figures maybe up, but that is not really a measure of success, 270million viewers watched the World Trade Centre Twin Towers collapse.

It is high time the upper production managers were sacked and replaced by people who can restore the highly succesful formula of BB1 & BB2.

6 days 23 hours and 45 minutes per week of boredom for the housematels translates to the same for viewers, bring back the endurance tasks, give us back our program format.

remember the old adage, "If it's not Broken, Don't try to Fix it "

Here, here. Shall we vote for the producers? Let's put them up for eviction. The show is a complete mess. Has anyone noticed how the BB3 team have struggled to air highlights from the show? It should have been titles '24/7 Boredom - can you survive?'

THEY HAVE PICKED A COMPLETE LOAD OF TOSSERS TO GO IN THAT HOUSE THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its the amount of producers that is causing the problem, a new on every day on BBLB. The helm is being pulled in too many directions.

You guys have very short memories. There were plenty of complete tossers in the last two series.

Just because *you* don't like it doesn't mean others don't. I enjoy it, and since viewing figures are up even more people are watching it than the last two.

I wasn't blaming the housemates.

270million viewers watched the WTC bombing, but that did not make it good.

BB3 maybe interesting, but GOOD is not a word I could associate with it, All I can find that keeps my interest in BB3 is How much more crap will the housemates, take before they all tell BB where to go but £70,000 is a fair amount of money, Only those who think that they have a real chance of winning will really stick it out, there can be nothing worse than boredom and animosity between the people you live with, the stress of BB3 will be intolerable for some of the HM's

But surely that is subjective.

You're right... sigh... why do I keep watching it. I'm fed up with it, slowly I'm starting to dislike all of the contestants (probably because they themselves are so bored) and I can only watch it on Channel 4 which shows live coverage that isn't live and then cuts the sound. it's frustrating, it's annoying and yet I can't help watching.

When will the producers wake up - or perhaps they're comatose from watching it so long!

If its boring then why are the viewing figures up? Think about it... if the viewing figures are higher then it is successful, whether you agree or not.

I've found it pretty mundane until last night when the excitement started....I thought that made excellent viewing.

At least Sandy went out in style

If you don't like it don't watch it. Simple. And don't spend time on BB message boards

I think the devide is making it worse and worse, no one seems to like it, it should be taken down on saturday and they should be set a task on either saturday or sunday and do it on the wednesday, scrap the satutrday programme, a lot of the big brother audience would probably miss it on saturday anyway to go out!

I quite agree Roebuck.

BB used to be about a group of people that were competing against each other, while having to form a bond to do tasks and try to prevent themselves being nominated. Now we have a bunch of people getting more and more mind-numbingly bored, with the divide causing a false rift.

Yes, I'm still watching BBLB (well, Dermot is just sooo funny) and Channel 4 show (which I agree seems to be sadly lacking in good content compared to 1 and 2), but apart from tuning into this site occasionally, I can't see the point of watching them all asleep on the live feed in the vain hope that someone might actually do something interesting!

I'm sure other people will say that they are enjoying it and that is fair enough, we all enjoy different things. It's just my point of view that the BB production team have not got the mix right this year . And anyway, it must cost a lot of money to choose, chaperone and care for each contenstant that goes on the show, I'm sure they don't want to see all the money they've spent go to waste because they then walk! Or in Sandy's case - climb....

Yes fair enough that nobody walked prior to this season, but the thing is that Sunita set a precedent when she chose to leave the house. She showed that it can be done, if you feel strongly enough about it the producers will let you leave. She was the first and may have opened the floodgates - you know what its like yourself in a strange situation - nobody wants to be the first, but after that first person takes the plunge, then WHAM! Like the finger food at a polite party - nobody wants to be seen to be a greedy bast and start noshing, but....

I agree that they were too easy on Sunita allowing her to set a precedent - they should have just said no, or at least been a little bit more assertive. Not 'oh well then, if thats how you feel, off you go then'.

It would be illegal for the Producers to say NO! to a contestant that wished to leave, as soon as the word has been spoken or uttered then a crime has been commited, namely "Unlawfull Imprisonment"

The only thing that is preventing more from walking is the £70,000 prize money, some of the HM's are thinking of walking because they do not think that they will have a real prospect of taking the prize money.

In previous series the experience was enough to ensure their continued remaining in the house, fun & frolics abounded, this series has been based upon conflict and the negative aspects of the housemates, I for one would have liked to experience the BB1 or BB2 houses, but would NOT even consider swapping places with any of the current housemates.

Unfortunately I think BB3 has become more of an experiment in seeing how far the housemates will take the crap from BigBrother before rebelling than being a gameshow, the producers are on very shaky ground, because the contestants were unaware of how far BigBrother was prepared to subject them to adverse emotional pressures.

I do not think that what BB3 has become is what I would consider as right, it may be interesting seeing the housemates going slowly insane and angry.

1. increase the prize money.
2. charge a deposit for all tennants entering the house
3. forfeit deposit if leave house on own accord...
4. self evictees forced via contract to endure Dermot through entire remaining weeks in studio. humiliate them.

I think a lot of it is down to the selection process. There must have been many more interesting people in the 150,000 applicants than that bunch of ******** (insert whatever word you feel is appropriate). The bars are just making a bad situation worse, they applied for Big Brother, not some dodgy Survivor/Endurance hybrid!

Sarah

P.S. Excuse any spelling mistakes and/or fuzziness of logic, been on the beer watching the footy!

In all other series of BB, there has been a different producer for each day. This is so that workload can be shared across the nine weeks without any one of them haveng a nervous breakdown of exhaustion!

There is one series producer that anything that is decided has to go through. This is what makes the whole thing consistent.

John.

If you take all the stuff that has happened over the last 3 weeks, you will find that there is loads more than any of the last 2 BB's.
The reason the show is boring to watch is to do with them scrapping the longer weekly task. If they had something to do and concentrate on, it would be far more interesting to watch. Some of the funniest bits of the last 2 years have been on the tasks - helen on a pogo stick!! Now the housemates have nothing at all to do each day, apart from sit around.
Plus the group can't bond as well because there is no need for them to work as a team. This is why no leader has emerged. They have a short easy task on Saturday and that's it. They are practically given £400, so they don't have to worry about food or booze. The Poor side have shown that without the luxury, they bond and work as a team.
I don't think any of them have really shown what they are really like yet. They are still very aware that they are on TV because they don't have anything else to think about.
Also, the show has most of the same producers this year as last!

Are you serious? You think it would be a good idea for the Big Brother producers to end up deep in trouble just 'cause you don't like people being able to walk out of the house? Riiiiiiiight.

All of you who are complaining about how boring it is, why are you still watching? You're hooked, that's why, you want to know what happens. Nobody is forcing you to watch.

Roebuck - you can definitely measure success by viewing figures. Comparing a TV program to what was probably the biggest news event of last year is not a good thing. It is entirely different, the WTC collapse was probably watched by almost everyone at some point last year. Big Brother has a target audience which is different. Would you say the soaps aren't successful even though they have high viewing figures?

I just think the problem really is that nobody knows quite what to expect this year, it's different, and people don't like it.

However the whole thing is a success. The viewing figures are up and we've fallen into the c4 executives hands and are talking about it. So generating more publicity. The whole response will of been predicted by shrinks, and the producers took a gamble putting it into practice and its worked!! More money for them from increased viewing figures for the advertisers. Very clever indeed Channel 4 i congratualte you. I just hope you can keep it going for the remaining weeks.

The contestants can leave at any time they like just by walking out a door, but Big Brother could be a bit more asertive to them and try and persude them to stay.
