Well folks, just over a week to go.
What do we expect from this years X Factor?.
Personally I'd like the final decision during the finals to be up to the public and not the judges.

The final four were voted out that way. So was the final.

Im expecting alot. Im gonna pick my faves and support them until they get voted out. Hoping there will be more solo male vocalists this time.

I liked the bits where the judges voted someone out!! I thought it made great TV, and in the long term that's what i really care about (call me selfish but the acts don't always make great music!!) And also i didn't thik really that the judges made a wrong choice last time! I think we can trust them to make the right decision!

Yaya! More X Factor! I'm gonna have like an X Factor weekend! I'm on a diet so... to give my self a treat (!!) i'm going to buy a bar of chocolate on the friday and watch the joy of X and then save some of it till Saturday and watch X Factor!! It's like the best programme on TV for me!! + I get to see Loads of Sharon O, Who i'm a massive, massive, massive fan of! (that's probably why i like the show!!)

thnx

I meant during the whole finals, ie the last 10.

I expect to watch some great entertainment during the early weeks with all the tone deaf wannabees, followed by the gradual process of the show getting boring as the talented ones just warble away...until you are left with a Michelle McManus who will then dissapear into obscurity again albiet a little richer.

Hang on....thats another show.

Looking forward to the X-factor starting next week as I will need something to fill the void left by BB (although I'm not sorry to see the end of this lot )

well im in it .I was genuinely surprised what a nice lot of people I met.Didn't meet one person I didnt like and i met so many.Quite a few complete fruit cakes just like myself but every one pushing for everyone else.It was a very nice atmosphere.I do know who are through in my section but cant say anything till show is aired. There are a lot of complaints of really good singers not getting through,i was surprised myself at the rejection of some really good singers. The thing is the programme is the X factor and just a good voice is not enough, even if your annoyed about a contestant but your interested in pulling them down ,it makes them interesting and makes the programme watchable.Personally if there was a programme with 21 really good singers attractive but virtually unknown with out a major fan base,id watch once possibly twice.Thats tv it is quite unfair but its all about money nothing else. What date does it actually start?

I see ITV2 are doing the best of XFactor on Friday 19th August.

Time: 18:50 to 19:55 (1 hour and 5 minutes long).
When: Saturday 20th August

Kate Thornton returns with a second series of the talent show, in which judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh tour the country hoping to find the UK's next singing sensation. The judges make their selection from an initial 75,000 applicants, which can include groups or solo artists - but the winning act will ultimately be chosen by the public. The audition process starts tonight in London.

Nothing can fill the void of BB, especially the dire program that is X Factor......but no doubt i will be watching - but only the first few episodes which show the painful auditions.

I'll probably end up watching X Factor, but I think Pop Idol is much, much better. The X Factor is all about the judges, and not the contestants. Anyone who believes that the judges really care about their contestants if they get knocked out of the competition, is kidding themselves.

Pop Idol was all about the contestants, and the public decided who won. The reason that the judges decide who goes on X Factor, is because they don't want to be left with someone crap who they know won't sell records. It's a joke really.

This show is going to get boring fast- while keep Sharon O and the Irish Man, Simon beat them in the first Season. They should be two new Judges which would keep the show fresh.

That's the best thing about it
Simon, Sharon and Louis are far more entertaining than people like Michelle McMannus or the other average joes that fill up the top ten. The only thing better about Pop Idol is the hosts.
